Nice hotel comfortable bed
We had a family room, one double and one single bed. A large and well appointed bathroom. Breakfast was self-service with a great choice of full English/Welsh or Continental. A nice quiet location.
There wasn't anything that I didn't like.
Great stay for us going to Wrexham for a comedy show , staff great would stay again
All staff were polite and very helpful. Rooms were good size, meals were great and plenty of options for breakfast
The hotel was lovely, very clean and great location.
When there is an event on at the hotel there is no indoor access to the bar and restaurant.
Spacious and quiet room on ground floor, so no steps to climb.
Excellent food in Oscars restaurant, both for Sunday dinner, and at breakfast.

Music in Oscars restaurant was too loud, but they turned it down when asked.

Just a logistical one really… it would always benefit customers to know about Functions that are booked in, we had a restless first night due to quite a loud function and noisy n’bours from said party..
Good for where I needed to be for business.
Poor finishes to the room. Loose toilet paper holder, top of drawers looked like permanent marker.
Rooms lovely, area lovely , really lovely hotel
So I checked in and informed 2 people on reception that we are really tired been travelling through night etc . Well all we could hear was the music blasting away from room directly below us , it was a wedding. I do not have an issue with that , but the sound was full blast, I phoned reception to say how loud it was , and he said I should have been informed regarding this .
I booked last minute, and never looked any emails until after the incident, and by then it was booked and paid for none refundable , so either way it was too late to change booking . So that was after 11.30pm ,,music was turned down before midnight to more respectful level .it finished 1am .
As I said to receptionist , surely it makes sense to put someone from wedding party into the room as then it would not have kept them awake .
Also no telephone in rooms , so used own mobile to call reception, which wasn’t an issue, what would have been an issue was going down to reception, as 2 ways , go out through side door into car park then to reception, in freezing wet weather , or second option was to go through wedding event, again not ideal .
So they really need to look into how they allocate rooms
Forgot to add , receptionist asked how I booked , I stated through you and he said 3rd party and if booked directly through them I would have been informed of the event. I said I should not be treated differently as never booked directly, nor should I be given the worse room available for noise as above wedding venue.
Room. Very comfortable and clean
Location, free parking, size of room. Could of been great.
Atmosphere was dull and uninspiring. Hot Breakfast buffet was overcooked and Luke warm. Could easily been cooked to order. A real shame as the building and location has huge potential.
