Nice stay but hotel is boiling.
Pros:

The food was nice and the rooms were very clean. The pool, sauna and steam room were super clean and nice. The staff were all very helpful and friendly which might seem like a small thing but it makes all the difference.

Cons:

The heat of the hotel was unbearable at times. This was concentrated in the hallways and the rooms. My room especially was baking everyday despite all windows open and a fan on constantly. The radiators were off and as there was no other way to control the heat in the rooms I did not bother any staff as there would have been little they can do.

We got dinner three nights and the food was fantastic and reasonably priced for hotels in 2026. What was not reasonable was charging €2.00 for miwadi in a jug, a bottle of miwadi isn't even €2. I genuinely was speechless when the waitress called it out. It gave me the bang of a real tacky cheap hotel and I has honestly skewed my view of this hotel. With the price of everything in the country at the moment it is an awful look.

Pros:

Everything. From the moment we walked through to the beautiful entrance to the clean smell everywhere. The staff were polite and attentive. I love that it has kept its old style charm but it is still a modern hotel through it's facilities. Great base for travelling around. Couldn't fault it in any way.

Everything about the hotel was fab clean , exceptionally friendly staff, good food

Everything was fab
We paid quite a bit, as prices were up cause donegal match was on in ballybofey. But was a lovely stay.

Well worth a visit
Pros:

Good value nice location right next to a river which can be fished good pool the gyms a little on the small side but has wot you need for a good workout also very friendly staff probably the best I’ve met in Ireland thank you for the coffee Daniel 👍

Three friends staying after a day spent hiking - we had a lovely relaxed evening.
Pros:

I love this friendly value for money hotel - the staff are very helpful and friendly, the food was excellent and we enjoyed the health suite. The room was also nice and spacious for the three of us (3 friends travelling) and the beds were really comfortable.

Cons:

Room was too warm even with heating off and window open. Shower took a minute to work properly. Cold water tap spluttered water for a while before it started to work.
Bed was a little sunken in the middle.
