Gorgeous hotel with lovely pool area and great food!
Pros:

This is a great hotel, it’s super modern, with a high end luxurious feel and decor. Rooms were very nice and up to date, marble bathroom, smart TV. Restaurant was also great with a nice aesthetic, the breakfast buffet had a good selection of food. We also ate in the restaurant for dinner one evening, the food was delicious and beautifully presented. Pool area had a lovely relaxing vibe- it was a nice treat to sit in the sun & enjoy a glass of Prosecco by the pool after a busy day of sight seeing! The staff were also super helpful and the service was fantastic, in the restaurant, by the pool & on reception.

Cons:

The hotel is very conveniently situated right next to a metro station making it easy to get to the main sites, the Duomo, Galleria etc. We went out for a walk the first evening in the local area around and next to the hotel, to a pizzeria, we found the area was a little run down / scruffy, lots of the shops were closed with the shutters down in the daytime too (possibly because it was August). It felt a bit rough so we got an Uber back.

The cleanliness and buffet breakfast

Cons:

When booking the hotel it did not disclose pool would be closed. Unfortunately pool closed 14/9..
Front office staff when checking in were not very polite. No orientation of hotel given. One staff member completely misinformed regarding breakfast rimes.
Breakfast boxes organised were not delivered on our early check out. Very disappointing.
For a large chain hotel they have many inconsistencies.

Not worth the money
Pros:

Yes but for €300 a night I would have expected a bit more

Cons:

The standard was not as expected. The sauna was also not working and it looked like the back part was missing. There was also no staff around. So I had to call for them to fix it,while I was sat there in my bikini. The pool area was also closed so not much worth for the price. Another thing I did not like was the behaviour of the office manager,she was very rude when it came to my payment of the city tax. It was told on the first night that I paid for it,after tapping my card. I was not told, that it was only on hold. So when she then asked me to pay it again, I told her that I already paid it. She was very standoffish and didn’t hesitate to slam her title in my direction. There is a way of dealing with situations like these and that was not it. The other receptionists were ok.

Pros:

The room was a little small for my liking but that is just me and we only slept there. Breakfast was nice and what I liked most about it it was that it gave me ideas of to improve my buffet breakfast at our resort. The location of the hotel is perhaps its very best feature as it sits directly on a subway stop and 4 stops away is everything you need to do and see in Milan. Designer Brand shopping, Duomo Cathedral and so much more are just a few stops away and it only cost 2.2 Euro to use.
The restaurant had a very nice menu and the food was delicious.

Cons:

Like I said I like a bigger room.

They have coffee machines for some rooms.
Pros:

Classic architecture and location

Cons:

They didn’t have good facilities inside the room. Didn’t have a decent coffee maker in the room. It was shocking for Italy!!!!

Schöner, entspannter Aufenthalt in Mailand in guter Lage.
Pros:

Die Mitarbeitenden des Hotels waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.
Das Zimmer war geschmackvoll eingerichtet.
Die Lage des Crowne Plaza ist sehr gut, da viele Sehenswürdigkeiten auch zu Fuss erreichbar sind

Cons:

Es wäre toll, wenn man den Pool schon ab 8.00h nutzen könnte. Es war sehr heiß in Mailand während meines Aufenthalts, und ich hätte gerne am Morgen schon ein paar Bahnen gezogen, aber der Pool ist leider erst ab 10.00 geöffnet.
So viele Gäste, die ungeduscht in den Pool springen. Das war ekelhaft. Vielleicht könnte man da von Seiten des Hotels etwas mehr drauf achten, dass vor dem Schwimmen Abduschen gewünscht ist....
