Great location near to motorway

Very handy location for travel. Nice building

Cons:

The complex in which the hotel sits was rather run down. The Loch offers great walks but is blighted by motorway noise (totally understand that you cant have a handy location for travel and peace and quiet)

Pros:

Nice hotel, good location for Glasgow and Edinburgh as it's near the motorways. Staff very friendly and I really enjoyed the breakfast. Free parking which is a bonus aswell.

Rooms quite well decorated, with good facilities. Bed very comfy. I would definitely stay here again!

Cons:

Even though the hotel is in a good location, I wasn't a fan of the island off the M8 which you use to get to the hotel. Poorly signposted land alot of the lines are faded so if you don't the area it can be tricky to navigate. Of course that isn't the hotels fault.

A few minor maintenance issues in the room. A button cover was missing off the shower and part of the door to the bathroom was loose. Windows not very clean.

A comfortable short stay.
Pros:

There is good free parking and the general location is pretty. The staff are great, helpful and made us feel most welcome. Breakfast was good as was dinner with generous helpings.

Cons:

The hotel needs a renovation and updating. It feels worn out and unloved by its owners. Carpets are stained and bedroom fixtures old and worn. I would not take a new girlfriend that I wanted to impress to this hotel.

Overall disappointing. From what I’d seen online I expected more. 3 stars at most.

Due to restaurant I won't come back anymore
Pros:

Good place nice rooms

Cons:

Restaurant is not great. And staff unexperienced. Waiting so long for anything. Messed up with steak even I have said what steak. Instead of well done I get medium rare from one side and raw from the other. Staff even did not offer compensation... Dissaponting.
