Aminess Vival Grand Azur Hotel

All Inclusive it is not. You can drink as much beer, red or white wine but only at the eating times. No basic water fountain during the day. The food is OK but what isn't eaten was made into something else the next day. Very resourceful. There are no snacks or snack bar or ice cream unless you pay for it - its under lock and key! If you're looking for entertainment, there isn't any unless you count the lame bingo and quiz night. The location is so far away. 2hrs from airport, nothing around. All the excursions, you will have to get to the pickup yourself. Luckily we had a car which is essential if you want to go places. The staff are OK on reception, the housekeeping staff are more friendly. The hotel is very clean. The waterfalls are great. The Old Town is good too but very busy.

Set on a fabulous coastline with a small craggy beach. The hotel is quite small, clean but there's nit a lot of character or holiday vibe. There was a singer one night and an accordion player coming round the tables at dinner another night. There was no actual place to gather for any entertainment. The majority of rooms it seems have no balconies! I was told these rooms were for families and didn't have a walk in shower. There was no lift down to the pool area and the only access was either down two flights of stairs or there was a pathway around the outside of the hotel (apparently). Certainly not suitable for anyone with disabilities. The bedroom was small but clean and basic. The nearest shops, bars were at least a 20 minute walk, which took us, being on crutches and seniors!, 50 minutes and not very exciting when we got there with the two ferries, which were cheap to visit the nearby island, a few bars and restaurants, a few supermarkets and a chemist. The short trip to korcula is a must, its beautiful! Things to be aware of! Half board plus is either lunch or dinner with just either red or white wine or beer. It is NOT all inclusive, something I wasn't aware of and was humiliated in the dining hall, by the reception staff who addressed me whilst i was taking my lunch, in frknt of many people dining, that as I was having lunch I wouldn't be permitted to have an evening meal!!! Absolutely shocking. I was extremely embarrassed. I spoke with the head receptionist who was completely dismissive and not helpful at all. The reception staff were not helpful at all. Their English is excellent but not warming, knowledgeable of the area, ie taxis, chemist or anything really! There was however one of the animation team who cycled to the near a st chemist to collect a prickly heat medication for me which was so so helpful as im not st all mobile.
Would I recommend, the location is pretty, there were inky 4 tours on offer, no nearby taxis, no Jet2holidays representative there, so I'd think twice if your of a certain age! My main gripe was the lack of help by the reception staff.

The location is amazing, we had a lovely sea view, but sadly no balcony.
The hotel is very clean and well kept.
The food was okay but the hot food was always cold which was not good, the breakfast was better than lunch and dinner, overall the food was disappointing.
We had booked all inclusive, but was told it was all inclusive light.
Would not recommend this hotel.
Korcula which is the nearest island is beautiful and we will definitely be going back to stay there, probably in a air b&b, there are lots of lovely places to eat and the island looks very interesting.

Ładnie zagospodarowana plaża i teren wokół basenu.

Basen wystarczający na kilkudniowy pobyt.

Super lokalizacja. Kilkanascie minut spacerem do Orebica.

We are a big family og 15 people who had been to aminess grand vival many times. Unfortunately this year we found that the peace and quiet that we before used to appreciate greatly with the hotel had gone. The beach bar plays loud house like music throughout most of the day and by the pool area, the beach and in the terrasse of the room a loud tone is present all day with nowhere to escape.
We asked the reception numerous times to contact the bar manager in the punto mare beach bar to turn down the music or change to something more relaxing but nothing happened despite their promises. I’m sorry to say that we won’t be returning to aminess unless this changes.
