The hotel's location is excellent, particularly if arriving by train, and my room was very comfortable with a high standard of cleanliness. A good range of breakfast fare was available and the staff made sure each table was quickly cleared and readied.
Re breakfast, would have preferred if fresh fruit salad was available every morning - there on only one of the days I stayed. Perhaps more cold meats and cheeses too.
Property was clean and had everything you needed in terms of facilities. Never tried breakfast. Friendly staff.

Air Conditioning in the room did not work well, and the room was very hot. Could not open window due to noise

Parking for a disabled man in his eighties with hourly expensive parking meters or long walk to expensive car parks, Luckily my arrival was a Sunday but this would be very awkward any other time. Roadworks and building works surrounding the whole place - council fault not that of Ibis. This hotel location not suitable for disabled..
In 2026 one expects a proper shower in hotel stay not a tap on the ceiling and a hole in the floor. Back to the 1920's. Even the Victorians were more advanced. Get the plumbers into Room 106 and fit a decent shower. Caravans have better showers. Terrible for such an essential. The toilet does not flush properly, useless, again a plumber's easy job. No proper waste bin just a fifty pence alternative. What is that about???? Beds and staff perfect. Pity I did not have a camera with me for that bathroom UGH. Get your act together Ibis . I have stayed at your other hotels for years and enjoyed those. Luckily my wife never came with me or she would have demanded our money back .
