Points North Apartments is getting a face-elevator!. This involves the exterior of the building being washed down, and a fresh coat of paint. The good news is that your view should not be interrupted, as the works will be done by abseilers (no scaffolding). While you may notice a bit of noise and activity Monday to Friday between now and the end of April 2025. We will do our best to minimize any disruption during your stay. Cons:

There was a TV in the bedroom, but no remote control for the unit. We raised it with reception, but the maintenance team did not have one for the monitor. It was a little annoying to only find out about the unavailability of the pool and spa only after we had confirmed the booking

We enjoyed our stay and it served the purpose of our trip. We would definitely stay again.

This is not our first stay at Points North and we love Coolangatta and the location of the apartments could not be better. Fantastic beach, views, restaurants and it has everything we need without getting back into our car during our stay. Units are generally a good size which makes the stay a little more comfortable if travelling with a family. Easy check in and check out process and parking was included in our stay which is always a bonus.

Cons:

There were a couple of issues with the unit and we did let staff know when checking out.
The sink in the kitchen was not draining properly. There were ants in the kitchen the first morning and we hadn't prepared any food, our rubbish was in the bin and we had only made tea and coffee. No sharp knives - knives provided, but none were sharp. And the cutlery drawer insert was filthy and either needed cleaning or replacing.
The lamp in lounge room was not working. The door to the main bathroom did not shut and stay closed.
Unfortunately the unit we stayed in is quite dated and is in desperate need of an upgrade. It was however comfortable and the furniture and beds were fine. None of this was a major concern, just a little inconvenient more than anything and some things to be considered by owner/manager. Be aware not all units have air conditioning in the bedrooms, so if you were staying in the Summer months, it would be very hot. However, there is a unit in the main living area. Due to our stay being in Winter, this wasn't an issue for us.
