Friendly and easy access
Location and price
Reception staff was friendly
Location
The fact that we were awaken on second night 5 times from the smoke alarm
Then staff knocking on door waking us up AGAIN
Convenient location, exceptionally clean. Restaurant meals were very good.
Rather large, cavernous hotel somewhat lacking in atmosphere. Rooms pretty basic.
Good area and easy parking
Continental breakfast was poor
Pleasant staff. Generally nice hotel. Plenty of free parking. Cooked breakfast was good. Bed was comfortable.
Room 203 had 2 ceiling corners occupied by cobwebs and spiders and a cobweb dangling from one of the spotlights. TV didn't work. Double socket didn't work. Couldn't cool the shower temperature initially. Small pillows. Not really good enough lighting to read in bed.
The staff made up for the outdated and poorly maintained facilities
There is nothing in walking distance. If you need something from a shop do it before you get there. The rooms are old and have some wear and tear. But over all it’s ok
Staff/ special shout out to Albert
Food
Bed was massive
Aircon
Access with bags
Room was spacious
Menu for dinner was mainly Indian food. One member of staff running bar and dining room
Albert made our unexpected stay great. No one works as hard as Albert and he always seemed to be in 3 places at once. I think the first night he may have been the only member of staff.
Not necessarily didn’t like but the bar could have had a couple of ales on draft. That was the only very minor niggle.
Great size room.
Very big comfy bed.
Our bathroom hadn’t been cleaned from previous guests. I complained to
Reception who were very apologetic and said they would get it cleaned whilst we were out for the day. When we returned we were so disappointed to find the bathroom Still hadn’t been cleaned . The cleaner had been into the room, changed the towels that are kept in the bedroom and then put the plastic gloves that they were wearing into the already full
Bin in the bathroom- this was full from
The previous guests as we hadn’t used it- the blue gloves were hanging out of the bathroom bin.
