I am disappointed with my experience. Before travelling from Kenya, I contacted the hotel to explain that I had not yet travelled and requested assistance with my reservation. We were three guests, and I initially booked rooms for 26–27 June 2026. I clearly informed the hotel that I would not arrive on 26 June and asked whether the booking could be moved to 28–29 June. I received a message indicating that this would be possible.
To avoid any confusion, I also made another booking for 27–28 June. However, when I arrived at the hotel, I was informed by the reception staff that the booking could not be changed and that I would need to make a new reservation. This was completely different from what I had been told before my arrival.
As an international traveller, this was stressful and disappointing. I only stayed one night and chose to leave the following morning because I no longer felt confident that my reservation would be handled consistently.
My recommendation to the hotel is to improve communication between the reservations team and the front desk so that commitments made to guests are honoured. Clear and consistent information is essential for building trust, especially for guests travelling from overseas.
