Cleanliness
7.2
Mixed feedback: several reviews praise 'clean & tidy' and 'clean and spacious' rooms, but others reported areas not very clean and flies/food hygiene issues at breakfast linked to broken windows.
Service
9.5
Strongly positive: numerous mentions of very friendly, helpful staff (Toni, Cliona, Jade noted), efficient night porter and welcoming reception team — service is a clear strength.
Location
8.3
Convenient and easy to access for many guests and well located for planned activities; downside is road noise when windows are open which disturbed some guests.
Room Quality
7.5
Rooms described as large with king-size beds, but several comfort issues (no air-conditioning, overheating, noisy portable fans), broken window handles, flat pillows and missing in-room fridge in some cases.
Amenities
7.6
Good facilities like pool and jacuzzi were appreciated, but key amenity gaps reported (lack of fixed air-con, no fridge in rooms, portable fans noisy).
Value for Money
7.9
Standard quality for this hotel tier
Food and Beverage
7.1
Mixed to negative for some: some guests found breakfast abundant and tasty, while others reported poorly stocked buffet, service/management issues, lukewarm beverages and hygiene concerns (open bowls, flies).
Overall Experience
8.1
Generally positive thanks to staff and location and many would stay again, but experience is marred for some by breakfast problems, room comfort (heat/no AC) and maintenance issues.

Lovely large bedroom.

Pleasant but not 4 stars.
Pros:

Location. Very nice staff.

Cons:

The blind in the bedroom didn’t work. The carpets were very grotty. The decor was tired. Not great value for money given the tired decor of the rooms.

Convenient to all towns in North Cork, comfortable with friendly and helpful staff
Pros:

The friendliness of the staff and their helpful attitude.
The peace and calm of the hotel - no noisy parties
The lovely reception area and marble floored ground floor corridor to the restaraunt.

Cons:

Break fast choices were a bit limited no choice of chopped fruit or cheese were available.
The cooked breakfast was fine though.
Orange juice did not taste very well - it had a strange taste and colour.
The toaster was not turned up to the correct level.
People were cycling bread 2 or 3 times through the machine to get their bread toasted correctly

Regreso a los años setenta.
Pros:

La piscina

Cons:

En el desayuno el hot chocolate para los niños era extra (casi 5 euros).
Los muebles y la recepción son excesivamente anticuados.
