They gave us a ground floor room right next to the road but the balcony doors didn’t have any locks on them !
When we moved to another room: the toilet seat had to be lifted to close the bathroom door ! There was no shower curtain or any towels. The water pressure was non-existent. The room and bathroom were filthy. The electrical cord for the kettle was damaged and dangerously repaired with electrical tape. The hair dryer in the bathroom fell off the wall. Corridors constantly smelt of sewage and fish.
Laundry issue. Leaking shower. Constantly calling for basic items that housekeeping should provide; towels, toilet paper, soap etc.. requested body wash at 8am and still not done by 7pm. Multiple requests: 1 item would arrive but not the other - another phone call.
Food disgusting and service slow. Eating utensils did not look like they had been washed. All management issues.
Place is grubby, dirty and needs to be bulldozed.
No coffee in room
Laundry returned and still damp for packing
No safe
Flickering lights
Le personnel a été vraiment réactif et gentil
Description de l’hôtel et de la chambre n’était pas conforme aux photos et a l’attendu. L’hôtel a besoin d’un bon coup de rénovation
Friendly and very helpful staff Close to the falls and town centre
The 'buffet' breakfast was poor and rediculously priced at $33.00. We were still eating when the staff started to clear the serving area!!
Close to facilities
Food was terrible
breakfast
Booked a few extra days ahead of tour. First room was right off the dinning area overlooking the busy path to the dinning area with noise from the dinning. Also water pressure in the sink was very low.
New room was cheerfully provided on request. I was then moved due to an unnamed issue with the new room. Third room and all worked well. I was amused the closet hangers were well above the reach of my 5'2".
After the tour my room was off the parking lot but the noise from the traffic wasn't so bad.
Restaurant food was okay to good.
Note: my early room was inadvertently booked without including the breakfast - when I asked the price of the breakfast it amounted to half the price of the room !!!!! The buffet was not THAT good. I went elsewhere
The pool bar was a nice place for a peaceful afternoon wine.
There were some very good singers at dinner.
All in all probably worth the price but I would never order the breakfast unless it was included with my tour.
The view of the mist from thee falls from the roof was sublime. Especially at dawn and dusk.
Pretty property. Walkable to nearby Victoria, Falls restaurants and shops.
Very basic amenities. Cleanliness was marginal - several bugs in the room.
WE ENJOYED STAYING THERE FOR THE WEEK. HOWEVER, THE DINNER ON OUR FIRST NIGHT OF ARRIVE WAS NOT GOOD.
SO, FOR LESS AND BETTER VALUE FOR MONEY, BETTER QUALITY OF FOOD, AND DRINKS WE WENT TO EAT AT OTHER ESTABLISHMENTS THROUGHOUT OUR STAY.
OTHER THAN THAT IT WAS ALL GOOD AND A GREAT LOCATION AND FRIENDLY STAFF.
Maybe the interior of the room...door had wood missing , chairs in room needs attention, furniture a bit worn. bed was comfortable and clean bedding was so nice. No conditioner in room and tea and coffee supply was not filled every day.
The friendly and helpful staff. The complementary shuttle to the falls. The buffet breakfast was very good. The bed was comfortable and the pool area was very nice.
The shower door leaked water and made a puddle on the floor.
its beautiful
nothing
Swimmin pool, staff, location
Room needs work to be done on it
Sliding door to the balcony was jammed.
no ceiling fans
body wash bottles where terrible
I had two nights at this property. The gardens are magnificent, although the reception area lets what is an excellent property for the price, down. That said my check-in was fabulous by the lovely Ethel. All the staff at the hotel were fantastic, polite and helpful.
The room was very large, spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable. I unfortunately had an inter-leading room, and could hear everything in my neighbours room. Unless you are travelling with someone and want this, definitely ask for a room that is not inter-leading! The bathroom was lovely, except my shower leaked water everywhere. It was not a catastrophe as I was travelling on my own, and used the spare towels on the floor.
The pool area and pool bar are beautiful. There is plenty of parking.
This property is so well located and you can easily walk to the Victoria Falls and the shops in town.
It offers great value, great location and great service. It is not 5 star but the value is outstanding and I highly recommend this property!
We had a great stay at the Rainbow Victoria Falls and felt very welcome from the moment we arrived. The hotel is clean, conveniently located, and the pool bar is definitely a bonus. The restaurant is affordable with decent food, and the buffet meals offered a good variety. A big plus was that my child could eat for free.
The only downside was the breakfast — at $30 for a continental-style spread, it felt unreasonably pricey.
It was also handy having an activities desk right at reception, and the free shuttle to the Falls at set times during the day made getting around easy.
Everything
Nothing
Everything was good enough
Paid quite high but wad surprised that the charge didnot include breakfast( at the bare minimum)
The hotel was well located
The hotel needs a renovation, it seems pretty old in some parts.
