We have been staying at this hotel for the fair for years, which is why this experience was especially disappointing.

We booked a King Suite with a bathtub back in April. We specifically chose that room because we were traveling with our toddler, who has slipped in showers in the past, so having a bathtub was important for his safety.

When we arrived, we were given an ADA-accessible suite with only a shower instead of the King Suite we had reserved. We immediately spoke with the front desk and explained the situation, but we were told they were completely booked and there was nothing they could do. We understand that hotels can fill up, but we booked our room months in advance in April. We should have been given the room we reserved.

To make matters worse, the ADA suite also had a fireplace with glass that the King Suite we booked does not have. Our toddler ended up burning himself on the glass, which was incredibly upsetting. Had we been given the room we actually reserved, this would not have been an issue.

What makes this even more frustrating is that we are not first-time guests. We have stayed here for the fair for years and have continued coming back because we trusted the hotel to provide a good experience. After being loyal guests for so long, being given a completely different room and then being told there was nothing they could do was extremely disappointing.

Mistakes happen, but when a guest books a specific room months in advance especially a family with a young child the expectation is that reservation will be honored. Unfortunately, this experience has really changed how we feel about staying here in the future.

Clean comfortable and very warm and friendly service
Pros:

Great experience at check in and every other person we met also made eye contact and greeted us. For what it is, is great - spacious and clean room, nice pool and hot tub. Don’t know if I will be back to Hamilton again but if I am, I will being staying here. Very comfortable hotel and easily the best option in town from what I have seen.

Pros:

The staff was so kind and helpful and they went above and beyond when we asked for an extra blanket or pillow. They were also able to upgrade us to a better room to accommodate our kids. The breakfast was delicious, all of my family went back for seconds. Great assortment! The little patio area overlooking the pond/lake was great to watch the sunset.

Cons:

The place itself could use a little makeover but overall it was great.

Was comfortable, clean, friendly and beautiful views.
Pros:

The Bitterroot is in a beautiful location. All staff are friendly and helpful, breakfast was lovely and had alot of choice. This is the second time I have stayed here and will be back again when I go to visit family.
