In the right village for us.
Low ceilings. In industrial estate. Itsybitsty sprawling architecture - ugly. Nice youngsters serving breakfast but food/tables not very cosy, not laid out in mature hotel fashion. Room wasn’t made up between the two nights - I believe we had to ask for that and for tea and loo roll top-up etc.
Location is great, room comfortable and clean. Staff friendly and helpful.

Book a room overlooking the golf course, mine was overlooking the carpark so not the best but the actual hotel was fine

Bed was comfortable. Room was clean.
Towel was stained. No fridge or air conditioning in room. Very basic.
Bedroom was well appointed, clean and comfortable with dual aspect windows, spacious and light with a pretty decent view. Staff were friendly and helpful, bedroom and bathroom and general areas were nice and clean
Sink taps in the bathroom sink of our room need attention as they are very difficult to turn on and off, and when they do eventually go on the water gushes out extremely fast and then they are very difficult to turn off. No atmosphere in the bar and dining area in the evening so we didn't bother eating there, not sure about breakfast time as we didn't book that, no jacuzzi in the sauna room, steam room was out of order, and all of the changing room area looked tired and in need of updating.
We needed a hotel with plenty of parking for our car and trailer and this has parking in abundance. The room was clean and comfortable. Only stayed one night and didn’t use the restaurant or other facilities. Staff very friendly.

Had a lovely stay. Staff very helpful and friendly. Double de luxe room excellent. Just a couple of issues: bathroom mirror light did not work. Housekeeper told us it was in hand but we were there for 6 nights and it never got replaced. Also the bathroom sink did not hold water. It just drained away quickly even with the plug in.
Loved the gardens and outside space and breakfast was excellent.
Bonus; hot drink facilities, iron and ironing board available, fan in the room, extra water bottle, staff was very helpful.
Maze like corridor to restaurant, lack of lift to upstairs..
For some reason my booking was done with my first name and then instead my surname was same than my first name, it was strange...
Location
Got my booking wrong & my deluxe room was given to someone else. Very disappointed, only offered refund difference & a free drink. This was the start of my holiday and it put a damper on things. Areas of hotel look tired, carpet & stairs, poorly fitting & thread bare, only found fan when leaving!
