The room was small but ok. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. At first we were not sure about the location since it seems a little far away from the main attractions, but in the end we loved the neighborhood a lot. Across the street is an amazing bakery, right beside it delicious pizza and a little bit further down the street a very nice cafe with wonderful music.

La posizione. Il centro e' facilmente raggiungibile e il quartiere e' servito di market, panetteria, piccoli supermercati, ristoranti cinesi, bistrot.

Il cambio delle salviette ... un rebus. Ne cambiavano due e lasciavano le altre due. Ho avuto.l'impressione che si lavori con estrema fretta. Un pomeriggio, al rientro, ho trovato per terra lo sgrassatore. Alla richiesta di taxi la sera prima di lasciare l'hotel non e' stato dato seguito, nonostante ci avessero chiesto se volevamo anche la sveglia. La mattina dopo si sono dati da fare per far arrivare il taxi. Per fortuna ci eravamo portste avanti, abbiamo avuyo mezz'ora di ritardo sulla tabella di marcia. Lo staff e' giovane. C'e' comunque qualcosa da migliorare.

Rapport qualite/ prix nettement exageré pour les prestations. 240e pour 1 nuit pour 1 personne sans petit dejeuner…..
Pas de shampooing, gel douche individuel, pas de savon!
Restauration pris sur place, 7 e pour 1 verre de vin…. Salade bonne mais pas copieuse pour une salade repas…..

Poorly Managed, Bugs in Room.

Our stay began with mixed experiences from Staff. Some were friendly, some not so friendly.

I found the hotel low value, at 250 EUR per night after the upgrade we had no breakfast or amenities included. No cups in the room, no cutlery or Kettle. Everything was upon request.

When we found what looked like 5 German Cockroaches in our room on the evening of the 4th Night with Mamashelter, we approached the desk the next day to resolve the issue.

They offered a room change, with no apology to me personally. The woman at the desk simply looked shocked, and didn't seem to believe me. She asked for the evidence, which is promptly sent via email for inspection.

Whilst I was working, my wife and daughter were assisted with the room change. Upon my return, I asked if they would be able to offer us any compensation for the issue. A discussion with the manager took place, and 40 EUR was offered as a discount for a stay of 5 nights valued at 1250 EUR.

I felt this offer was not proportional to the issue, and I asked for a refund for the night that was affected by the bugs. I was told this was not possible, because the booking was made through booking.com. I mentioned that they had already increased the price by 200 EUR to accommodate my daughter.

More discussions with the manager took place behind closed doors, and I was offered a refund of my room upgrade. I accepted this offer, and found out later that it only included the first 4 nights of our stay, after paying and reviewing the invoice.

I have little faith in the management of this hotel after this experience. I had to negotiate extensively with staff for a minor refund. With seemingly no understanding by the staff that this is one of the worst things you can encounter as a hotel guest. A high price was charged for a poor service. We were not looked after, or made to feel particularly welcome. And the issue we presented to the team was not taken seriously.

I could not recommend any Mamashelter after this experi

Great for a weekend when you just need a place to stay

Great place in an excellent location with possible the best staff I've ever experienced at any hotel
Pros:

The location was great, felt like "proper paris" rather than anywhere tourist, full of lovely cafes, restaurants etc and with excellent transport links to everywhere you needed to get to.

The room was perfect, the addition of a fridge, sink and microwave was good and the hotel staff were happy to provide us with plates etc from their restaurant to use up in the room.

The body and hand wash smells great, I am regretting not buying myself any as they sell it in reception but I was tight on space in my luggage.

Cons:

Very minor points, and only stood out because everything else was so exceptional

Would prefer the wifi to be secure with a log in rather than anyone can join.

The toilet paper is really thin, like worse than old school paper thin

Pillows were very uncomfortable.
