A great choice in Sandakan.
Pros:

Expansive open air lobby with plenty of friendly and helpful staff.
Aging property but still very well presented.
Nice pool and good cocktail service by the pool.
Comfortable beds.
We left our luggage while traveling and return and this was very helpful

Cons:

Breakfast was not amazing but did have a great egg station.
It’s not walking distance to anything.

Pros:

We arrived a day early so booked extra night. They gave us a room upgrade. The room large comfortable clean . Bed comfy, bathroom excellent. Good selection of toiletries. Breakfast nice and plentiful. We occasionally ate in hotel and the Saturday night buffet is the best meal we had in Borneo!! Swimming pool large great for proper swimming. Gym decent, have all you need including concept rower. Location is good as well, local grab taxis quick and cheap. Great stay

Cons:

Just a couple of points. Smart TV would be good, bike in gym needs attention.

Best one we could find around the area.

Cons:

Food wasn’t great in the restaurant, everything seemed dated and old, cannot access anything by foot from the hotel.

Great location in a tropic environment
Pros:

Junior suite room at corner of building facing the pool, the room size is also optimal.

Cons:

Junior suite air conditioner cools only one side of the room. The side next to balcony is not cool enough. Air conditioner is also noisy for sleeping

Lovely stay - Comfy, good food and a great pool
Pros:

Lovely big pool, restaurants did a delicious variety of food and the rooms was clean, comfy and spacious.

Cons:

Nothing - we had some doubts after reading a few reviews saying it was ‘dated’ but I don’t think they are deserved!

Lovely hotel, staff very helpful, quiet out of town.
Pros:

Nice room, lovely pool, comfortable beds. Staff were helpful in booking us a taxi to the airport and provided a takeaway breakfast as we had an early flight. Buffet was good, excellent choice of food, lamb that had been roasting all day was delicious.

Cons:

Limited choice of where to eat, one restaurant was closed. We had already pre- paid and they tried to charge us again.
