Hotel was clean, new towels every day. Breakfast and food in restaurant was good. Staff very helpful and friendly. Situation is central not far from the train station close to all the amenities and the sea views are fantastic.
Shower wasn't working so had to use the bath. Bed was comfortable, but mattress needs to be replaced..

Asked for 3 single beds but got a single and a double, breakfast started to late

Lovely hotel, centrally located. By the Sea. Great staff, very helpful. Great value for money. Old style lift pull the railings over to open and close. 😊 Spacious room, large double bed, good shower. Quaint bar area.

Location and view.
The manager was terrible with dealing with our leaking roof. Essentially, we were left to sort out new accommodation ourselves and pay!!! Ruined our short break.
Hotel location good. Room was clean. Staff nice.
I was on 3rd floor. Elevator antiquated and needs upgrading, didn't feel safe in it. Shower in bathroom not easy to operate as it had large screw sticking out of it which should have been fixed.

The interior of the rooms and the hotel are quite old, but not in a charming way. Everything smells a little musty. In 2026 there was only one power outlet for the room, so bring a powerbank if you‘re travelling as a pair. The bar looks like a waiting hall in a train station.
Very centrally located in Oban - close to all amenities and main attractions. Hotel is a little older though, which either adds to the experience or detracts from it if you're expecting something super modern.
The beds were a little on the soft, spongy side and the extremely small and old lift can only fit one person with a big bag. The alternative is to walk up multiple flights of stairs, which might be a challenge for some. Although the temperatures were manageable when we were there, it's also worth noting the lack of air conditioning in the rooms.
