Excellent, informative, positive staff and the location of this hotel with an exceptional reasonable price are the best parts of this hotel.
The decor, aka the older carpets, some baseboards etc need replacing and somewhere there must be a leak or two as it had a slight mouldy odour now and then, but easily ignored as it is such a charming older Victorian with beautiful view of the sea.
Large room, great staff
The hotel is in a great location and really close to restaurants and local pubs. The hotel room was very large and very clean and the bathroom was lovely and modern. The staff on reception welcomed us and were really helpful when I found out there were no towels in my room.
The bathroom itself was great - lots of room and very modern facilities but the water pressure on the shower was very weak and made showering almost impossible. It also took a long time for warm water to work its way through. It didn't spoil the break though.
Quirky old hotel in central Oban. Lots of restaurants, bars and shops all around. Sea view rooms spacious.
Single glazed sash windows means you hear the wind and rain when it’s blowing in from the sea.
Great location, nice hotel with friendly staff. We had a very large room with an outstanding view over the harbour. We would definitely stay here again.
The staff members were especially helpful and kind. They went out of their way to make our stay great! The meals we had in Bar Rio were excellent and affordable. The location is perfect.
Staff were friendly. Comfortable bed. Bath was great. Plenty of sachets of coffee, tea and milk.
Shower wasn't powerful. There was a bright light outside my window which made falling asleep quite difficult.
