Pros:

Most impressive, dog friendly! We don't have a dog, but it was so fun seeing others vacationing with theirs. What lucky and happy dogs!

Cons:

House keeping could do better. He had to have our floor mopped again as soon as we arrived. They didn't arrive by late as 4pm the 2nd day, so we had to go to the front desk for fresh towels. Also, seeing the housekeeper outside our room on our 3rd day, I asked for a one hr delay so that we could nap before dinner. Turned out that she didn't speak English and held a cell phone to my face. I figured out that it was a translator app. She returned 30 minutes later. It is my opinion that one who serves the public, in America!, should speak English.

I stay at Tides two-three times per year. You can't beat the location, accommodations, and service.
Pros:

As always, the staff was great, friendly and highly accommodating. Can't beat the location. It's right on the beach and includes a pool, a great restaurant, coffee shop, and tiki bar. Local restaurants, bars, shops, and a really cool general store are all within a three-block distance, so there's no need to drive anywhere. We've been staying there for our beach vacations for years now.

Cons:

Twice this year we've arrived to find elevators out of order. The first time, both elevators weren't working but we were fortunate our room was on the second floor allowing us to use the service elevator to get to our room. Normally, climbing one flight of stairs wouldn't be a big deal, but we had our small dog with us. During our second stay this year, one elevator was out of service. This caused a massive delay in getting up and down the floors during peak times. Especially when the staff was working on servicing the rooms. I get that things happen, but the same issue twice in one season is concerning.

My life partner is a stroke patient in a wheelchair & they gave us a room next to a room they was remodeling witch we heard from 5:30am - 10:00pm Also took a $100 deposit for smoking witch we did not, we went to the designated areas & they did not refund the deposit

Housekeeping did not bring washcloths after we repeatedly asked for our room to be cleaned and stocked. Housekeeping also left our door ajar when they left the rooms with our valuables inside the room. The phone in the room was unplugged

A great time
Pros:

I like the beachfront location. There were many restaurants in walking distance. The pool was warm and the ocean was warm. The food and drinks at pinky’s was very good

Cons:

Needs some restoration work. AC was pretty loud.

Surprise Charge After Checkout
Pros:

Someone else paid for our stay, and we put our card down at check-in strictly for incidentals. At checkout, we were handed a receipt with 9 separate taxes already listed on it, and the front desk said nothing about any remaining balance. After we left, a $36 resort fee hit our card—completely undisclosed at check-in, omitted from our checkout bill, and charged without providing a separate receipt. Very misleading billing practices—watch your credit card statement closely after staying here.

Wonderful stay
Pros:

Drinks/ lunch by the pool
Starbucks in the hotel
Right on the beach
Once i park i dont have to drive anywhere because all the restaurants and shopping is right there walking distance
Complimentary chairs for the beach
Staffing is so nice and helpful
Right by the pier to walk and fish
Restaurant pinkys at the beach in the hotel
My favorite place to stay will always come back
