The only thing good about this hotel was the location. It reminded me more of a 3 star motel vs a nice hotel. The price

Cons:

The beds were very uncomfortable and hard. The room was pretty outdated and dingy. The refrigerator was leaking everywhere. The lamp shades had visible rust. The floors were filthy and the bottom of our feet were black. We asked the staff twice for a microwave in our room, They promised to bring it but never did.

Great Location and Views, but Otherwise...
Pros:

We booked into a Premium Oceanfront Two Queen room for a week stay. The room was on the seventh floor and had a great view of the ocean out a large sliding glass door with small concrete balcony. The staff was very friendly and accomodated an early check in and one hour late checkout. The rest of this review is about the deficiencies of this hotel, of which there are many. Principal issue is the quality of the room beyond its view and nice size - the shower pressure was abysmal plus water pooled around our ankles whenever we used it. The WiFi was very, very weak. No Smart TV. Numerous little items in the room were not in good working order. We did not eat at the restaurant at the hotel (Pinky's) primarily because the loud dance music was distracting and there are a number of superior options within a short walk. The small store/coffee shop downstairs is basic and once again, better options on Center Street. The biggest disappointment was the difference between the final price charged and the total that had been recited in the confirmed reservation I showed to the front desk person upon checkout- the checkout total was ~$40 more. I don't have a problem with the resort fees charged or other taxes, etc. included in the total - but the total recited in the Tides own confirmed reservation sheet should equal the total reflected upon checkout and the staff on duty at the time should have modified this as I had requested - they didn't explaining that this was a common complaint but not addressed by management, which left us with a sour taste in our mouth about this stay.

Beautiful views, good coffee, but not overly dog friendly or accommodating.
Pros:

Naturally, that it’s on the beach!🏝️

Cons:

Even though their dog friendly, there weren’t any outdoor areas designated for them. No waste stations with bags.
The property itself is tired. The building is worn although there was one sign I saw that they were doing improvements although I didn’t see any evidence of that.
I didn’t find the front desk staff overly friendly or helpful. I had to go back to the desk ask for my pool band after I checked in, when I saw that everyone had one on. They were helpful on texting before I checked in and they were reliable to getting back quickly, but once there, I wasn’t impressed except for Jeff the head bell man who was amazing.

Needs a lot of work. Great location
Pros:

Best location on Folly. Elevators are a major issue. Only on working for a 9 floor hotel. Rooms are dated and need a full remodel. This hotel is all about location.

Great but not worth the cost
Pros:

Loved the convenience of this hotel! The beach access & pool is a great option. Being walking distance to restaurants & shops is also a plus.

Cons:

This hotel desperately needs some updates. Only 1 working elevator, subpar cleanliness in the rooms (mold in the bathroom), no exhaust fan in bathrooms, and normal wearing of the years is visible
