Staff and the location was wonderful! A few modern updates and would be 4+ stars.
Pros:

Location was great! Right in the heart of Kilkenny, with a great view of Kilkenny Castle right across the river from hotel. You could walk to most places of interest. Breakfast was good, too. Staff very friendly and nice.

Cons:

Water pressure very poor in shower, and water was just a little bit better than lukewarm. If you used the knobs on the bathtub, to use that, it had great water pressure, but very strange trying to regulate the temp. Literally, one half of the spigot was hot water, and other side of the spigot cold. I was trying to rinse the conditioner out of my hair, under the spigot, was way too hot and ice cold, at the same time.
Luckily we were there in the fall. No thermostat to regulate room temperature, but you are able to open the windows. They did have a fan in the closet, if you needed that. Keep in mind, it was on old hotel, and did have a lot of charm.

Great stay in Kilkenny
Pros:

Great location in Kilkenny. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The reception staff was friendly and attentive. Plenty car parking spaces at the back of the property free of charge for the guests.

Ligger nära de äldre delarna i stan.

Cons:

Vi fick rum mot gatan och puben nedanför. Lite väl mycket liv och skrik på kvällen.

Posizione comoda e con tutti i servizi a disposizione. Ampio parcheggio disponibile.

Cons:

La nostra camera era sopra al porticato di ingresso delle auto, sicuramente più tranquilla rispetto al corpo centrale, ma per accedere alla sala colazione era necessario attraversare il cortile interno. Non un grosso problema visto che c'era bel tempo durante il nostro soggiorno.

Stayed there after a wedding , would love to stay another night for pure R&R

Loved the comfort of the room , only thing I would like bath salts / bath soak seperate from those hanging in the wall ,

fabulous room with beautiful decor
the bed was super comfy
hotels location is perfect

Cons:

The car park entrance is a bit challenging to navigate, but there is plenty of parking available at the rear of the property.
We paid a premium rate for our Saturday night stay, which I understand is common practice, although I don't necessarily agree with it. Unfortunately, the price felt far too high for a one-night stay, and overall the cost did not reflect the quality of the experience provided

Pros:

How close it was to the centre

Cons:

Old windows with no sound proofing
Very unconfortable bed with lumps in it.
No where to charge the phone beside the bed.
Generally a very dated hotel
