Fantastic golf resort hotel with two great courses backed up with superb hospitality facilities
The hangover the morning after
Location nice
Tired on outside / quite expensive but guess predominantly for those who are in golf tournaments
Room was very small, we looked over to the outside area where lots of golfers were drinking and being quite loud.
Breakfast was at best average.
Dinner ; not applicable.
General atmosphere was poor.
Room was very small with dated facilities ( Room 221 )
Paying £160 a room , we would have got better at Holiday Inn or a Premier Inn.
A repeat stay, I was playing Golf there the next morning. This is a smart good quality Hotel. On my previous visit the Bar closed early, but on this occasion there were more customers , who seemed to be mainly other golfers , so having arrived after 10pm I was able to enjoy some nice local Ale before retiring. Good Breakfast.
Good position for ethereal we wanted to be
Ran out of cossisnts for breakfasts
Breakfast was very good. It’s not a hotel I would visit for romantic weekend. It’s very much a golfing party venue for groups. That’s how is felt at that particular time. Room excellent and staff went beyond to be helpful.
Location, helpful staff, general cleanliness. Great breakfast.
Very limited menu in the restaurant, especially for vegiterians.
Location, rooms were lovely the manager on duty and bar lady was lovely too
there was no water in the room for our stay and the check in was a bit of a shambles meaning we had to rush to get changed and some peoples rooms weren’t ready either. We ended up being late to the wedding as a result. We got there early to give a heads up and others phoned the night before too. There were some creepy golf lads in there pestering us when we were trying to have a drink which wasn’t a nice experience and comes with the nature sadly of it being a golf resort.
The view
It had no air conditioning and I
Have bites all over my back
Lovely, nice rooms great value for money very clean
No air conditioning in most rooms and was very hot when we stayed
The look of the room and hotel
The WiFi didn’t work in our room which prevented me from completing any work, being self employed this is extremely important. The radiator even though turned off was still hot. We were also questioned at breakfast why we hadn’t booked in because they were “so busy” when burning the 15 minutes we had break fast only 7 other people were in the dining area.
Rang reception who couldn’t do anything to fix either problem and on checking out the member of staff took our key card and couldn’t event be arsed to ask about our stay.
Will be contacting the hotel direct to discuss a reimbursement.
Great rooms
Great parking
