Expensive & disappointing- not going back!

The location is good & the the staff is courteous & helpful.

Cons:

The rooms are so small that a family of three cannot move around without being inconvenient to one another; the quality of the mattress could be better. The breakfast area seems dingy and it isn't because the staff; they are working hard to maintain the place. The breakfast area is too small to serve the amount of customers they have; it is chaos; the breakfast quality is poor: cheap breads & light coffee. The elevator tight and it squeaks when you ride it; also, the poor staff have to share the elevator which is constantly full for them to be able to get in to do their work. I do not recommend this hotel; it was expensive for what I got; I tried to cancel and move to another hotel but the hotel would not reimburse the two extra nights so these were four uncomfortable nights @ $400 a night. :-(

Great for a budget stay in the heart of New York
Pros:

Good, attentive staff. Shout out to Caesar who mans the restaurant in the mornings! He's so cheerful and warm. And very helpful! Front office staff were helpful too.

Cons:

Before coming i read reviews saying previous customers had to wait a long time for the lifts (aka elevators) . This is partially true if you use the lifts during peak hours (eg. Around breakfast time) but otherwise we didn't have to wait more than a few minutes for the lifts to arrive. The lifts themselves are fast but the hotel has only two of them which is why you sometimes have to wait a bit longer.

Also.. the rooms are smaller than they look in the photos but if you're using the hotel just to get some rest in between a packed schedule, that doesn't really matter. Staying on the 7th floor, We weren't disturbed too much by the constant sirens new york is famous for.

Need more table to accomodate breakfast for guests
Pros:

Good wifi.

Cons:

Room is too tight for twin beds. No adequate lighting. Breakfast buffet too crowded. More tables please. We cant even finish food. More party keeps coming. At least a staff is needed to accept diners to control the guest crowd.
