I liked its location, the cleanliness, the room set-up, the view, the night front desk people.
I didnt like the day front desk people who were a little less kind, less amicable, less tolerant of hearing about the very noisy refrigerator/freezer that was loud and its motor hummed HORRIBLY loudly, intermittently all night long disrupting one's sleep. This was in room 512. We asked for a change in our room to no avail. They wanted to fix the refrigerator while we were still in the room trying to sleep. So when they never came, then only after several hours, did we get a phone call that basically said they couldn't fix it and that they would now move us. But by then it was too late. We were going to our appointment and couldnt move anywhere at that time, or else we would be late to our appointment.
Convenience, incredible staff, perfect rooms.
Everything
Breakfast was amazing!!! The location was the best!!
I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to you and the entire team at the Residence Inn by Marriott Phoenix Desert View at Mayo Clinic for the exceptional service and hospitality my mother and I have received and are receiving during our stay here.
This visit has been especially meaningful to me, as I recently underwent my second kidney transplant at Mayo Clinic. Because of my recovery, we have stayed much longer than during my previous visits, when I was in Phoenix for transplant workup testing. Throughout all three of my stays, your hotel has consistently provided a welcoming, comfortable, and supportive environment, but this extended stay has allowed us to truly appreciate the dedication of your staff.
As someone who has spent years navigating serious kidney disease, including time on dialysis, experiences like this make a lasting impact. In fact, the last time I stayed at a Marriott Bonvoy property was in Denver while traveling for work during my dialysis treatments. The care and service I have received from Marriott over the years, and especially at your property, have reinforced my loyalty to the brand. I fully expect to remain a Marriott customer for many years to come.
My mother and I have been extremely comfortable throughout our stay. Whether relaxing in our room or spending time in the lobby, we have always felt welcomed and cared for. What stands out most is the dedication of your team. Every day, we see staff members working diligently to keep the property clean, well-maintained, and inviting for guests.
We are especially grateful to the associates who prepare the complimentary breakfast each morning, the shuttle drivers who promptly transport guests to and from Mayo Clinic, and the front desk team who are always ready to help with a smile. The shuttle service has been particularly meaningful to me during my recovery, especially following surgery, and it made a tremendous difference during a physically challenging time.
Whenever we had a question, concern, or needed assistance, your team responded with kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. It is clear that your leadership and management team have done an outstanding job hiring talented individuals and fostering a culture centered around customer service and compassion. This is especially important for guests like us who are dealing with serious medical situations and rely on the comfort and support of those around us.
My mother and I feel very blessed—not only to have access to the world-class care provided by Mayo Clinic, but also to have had the opportunity to stay at such a wonderful property during this important chapter of our lives.
Please extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all members of your staff. Their hard work, dedication, and kindness have not gone unnoticed, and they have truly helped make our stay comfortable, positive, and memorable.
Thank you again for everything you and your team do.
Close to Mayo and bed was very comfortable
TV wouldn't work for first 24 hours and the bathroom clearly hadn't been cleaned (dirty floors and a clear ring of used bath bomb in the tub). Breakfast stops too early. Coffee not available after breakfast ended.
Location, cleanliness
Very good and complete offering for breakfast.
I think it is a strong overkill you charge for on site parking. Plenty of spaces to park. Business greed is terrible. Had no choice as the hotel next to Mayo works out the best. The almighty dollar prevails. Terrible!!
Spacious and very comfortable 1 bedrum suite impressed me with the size and everything that might need for family needs. The bed was the best ever I had during my 6 days trip. Quietness in the room, good choice of food for breakfast, staff hospitality and support - everything was perfect.
Thank you very much for the experience of staying at your hotel.
Everything was just perfect. I have nothing more to add.
Close to Mayo. Super clean. Reasonable dinner options. Caring staff.
This is more like a Cruise ship
People everywhere. Stairwells.. hallways.
Spa out of order..just go any place else.
Location, location, location. The hotel is literally only a 5 minute walk to the Phoenix Mayo Clinic. Although the whole facility is in dire need of a renovation the entire hotel is exceptionally clean! The biggest asset of this Residence Inn is the staff from every person you will come into contact with are exceedingly kind, professional, and helpful in any way that easily make them the most valued asset of the property. I cannot emphasize how impressed I was with the quality of the staff working at this Residence Inn and truly hope they are well compensated because they are the true jewels of the property.
The breakfast accommodation is more like a ghost kitchen and the food quality is at best subpar. The breakfast offerings were dramatically below average and poor quality and poor selection. The hotel dining menu is somewhat inviting but once again is of poor quality with the same ghost kitchen effect which is disappointing because I would think that an establishment that shared the close proximity to the Phoenix Mayo Clinic would have at least a small functioning formal dining facility for its guests. Finally the lack of a legitimate convenience store in the lobby is the most glaring weakness on the property. The current store is woefully lacking in commonly stocked travel amenities that are commonplace at most hotel lobby convenience stores.
It was on the Mayo campus.
14 dollars a day for parking
Nice lobby and exterior.
The rooms need remodeling. Our unit had an odor of old plumbing, worn out fixtures and cabinets, bathroom was very dated.
