Terrible experience. The hotel is completely neglected. The furniture is extremely old, damaged, and worn out. Upon entering, I even noticed spiderwebs right at the main entrance, which shows a complete lack of basic cleaning. To make things worse, a foul and unpleasant smell spreads throughout the entire hotel. I do not recommend staying here at all

SPECTACULAR
Pros:

The location & layout it was spectacular ✨️ 👌 What we really enjoyed was Mr Desmond at dinner & Mr Desmond & Mrs Kizzy and Mr Tom at breakfast they made us feel genuine & like home! Food was off the chain excellent! Imma hot cakes & gravy girl/ hubby well Desmond hooked him up with a western omelet/ daughter was a "Throw some bacon on it" kinda girl! Front desk was so polite and kind & helped us with our experience for the first time! Vallet was so on time great! Ask for Desmond & Kizzy they got you & a little secret the honey Dew was so great mDe you forget where you was! I tipped the whole team! We will be back Thank You Crowne Plaza!

No ice on any floor looked like fixing machines but none worked! Please fix them all ppl really do enjoy ice!

Great location for downtown
Pros:

The location was great. The restaurant/ bar was really nice.

Cons:

Room wasn't totally turned around, but it wasn't a huge deal. Trash wasn't taken out, ironing board was still up and needed towels. Staff promptly brought up what we needed. Honestly had a hard time understanding valets when we checked in, but they were great when checking out. View sucked.

Hotel desperately in need of a clean and modernisation.
Pros:

I was in Harrisburg for a Senators Baseball game and so I wanted somewhere to stay that was close to the Amtrak station and the Ballpark. The Crowne Plaza fitted the bill on both counts.

In almost every other respect, it was a very poor experience. I arrived at reception and was served by a gentleman who wasn’t particularly friendly. I went to my allocated room and found a carpet in need of hoovering, a desk that was sticky and had crumbs on it and a dirty toilet. I returned to reception and the same gentleman simply advised that the water in the area can sometimes cause stains. I don’t believe that was the case in this instance (it just needed to be cleaned properly!) but in any event that had no bearing on the other concerns that I raised which he chose not to comment on. With barely an apology, he allocated me a different room. The ‘new’ room was cleaner but very dated and had a very musty smell. Given that I only had a short stay in Harrisburg, I didn’t want to spend further time debating the issue with the reception staff so just had to put up with what was an extremely poor room for the price paid. The one redeeming feature was that the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom needs sorting out, one of the shower controls came off in my hand and with no shower screen (there is a fairly useless plastic sheet in place) water goes all over the bathroom floor which would have been an issue if I had been staying longer than just one night. I would return to Harrisburg but certainly would not stay at the Crowne Plaza again.

Pros:

First off I did find self service parking across the street from the hotel at the Court Street Garage, be it for $33 for the night. That does seem high for a small city. But I don't like valet. I get that is not the responsibility of the hotel.
When I unlocked my room I noticed a bit of a musty smell, but it either went away or I got used to it. My room was a bit on the small size, and it clearly shows it age, but it was clean and comfortable. AC was a bit loud but worked great. Bed was comfortable.

Best breakfast buffet; rest was okay
Pros:

I loved the breakfast food but the menu was a pixelated AI slop mess and the dinner food was clearly microwaved and not worth the $30 price tag. I loved the central location of the hotel. I liked the bed and the bathroom. The coffee machine is a Keurig, which I like.

Cons:

The shower gel was empty and the shampoo and conditioner made my hair feel like straw. I didn't like that there was no microwave in the room. The elevator was rickety. I paid more than $250 for my stay and it was not that level of luxury for the price.
