They made my birthday feel truly special, and I really appreciated that. The room service was excellent aswell, the buffalo wings are to die for!
Breakfast was good, though not exceptional. However, the coffee was excellent.
The bathroom was never really clean. I left a lip gloss stain on the bathtub to see if it would be cleaned, but it remained there throughout my 5-day stay.
The shower also always felt murky and sticky, and the water took a while to drain. The balcony was quite dirty as well.
Lastly, an important disclaimer I wish I had seen before checking in: "Spa inclusive" refers only to access to the jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room. It does not include any of the other spa treatments or services.
Service was awesome. The garden is amazing. Big room, comfortable mattress and pillows. Very peasant moquette on the floor.
Water drainage in the shower is too slow so that it fills with water. Curtains were not easy to open and close. But these are really small details. Overall it was very good.
The breakfast was excellent and the staff very helpful.
Gym facilities were very good
Our bathroom dd not have any tissues and though we requested replacement box none arrived. We also had to request addtionail soap as there was only one small bar for the two of us.
The telephone cover was also broken by the toilet.
The pool was absolutely stunning — easily one of the best I’ve seen, and we spent some quality time there. Breakfast was outstanding too, a real highlight of the stay. Above all, the staff were genuinely warm and friendly, and most of the service was excellent. You can tell the people here take pride in making guests feel welcome.
Having just come from the Serena at Lake Kivu — which was cheaper and more refined — the bar was set high, and Kigali didn’t quite match it. At Lake Kivu, every last detail felt five-star: the knobs, the handles, the shower heads, even the toilet flush were all high quality. Here, a few too many things felt dated, and some fixes looked done on the cheap. The AC made a loud cricket-like noise for so long that we eventually had to switch it off altogether.
A couple of service slips stood out as well. Housekeeping knocked just once and opened the door while I was undressed — a longer pause after knocking would have spared an awkward moment. And at checkout, when I called for luggage assistance, the line kept getting hung up on. Small things, but they add up when you’re paying for a five-star experience.

Der Spa-Bereich mit seinem guten Angebot ist sehr fein.
Es war sehr fein, dass wir nach dem Checkout noch einige Stunden am Pool verbringen durften.
Eine einzige Sache ist unangenehm aufgefallen: im Poolbereich war es wegen einer sehr lauten Lüftung laut.

Good location
Booked a deluxe room which in the pictures shows a balcony with sun loungers. Initially given a room either no balcony and when I complained I was told deluxe rooms do not have balconies. After 45 minutes of discussions was apparently upgraded to a superior room. This had a tiny balcony with no sun loungers. Decided to relax by the pool but then a spinning class was set up all around the pool with loud speakers. People were told to move from their sun loungers…..
