My husband is disabled & we were traveling for medical reasons. He's partially paralyzed but the roll in shower was perfect for his needs. The room was clean & comfortable. The breakfast had everything we needed to start the day. The location was easy to find & plenty of shopping & restaurants around.
I like the convenience that the hotel was two local stores as well as to the place I needed to travel to the next day.
I did not like being able to hear some of the other guests when they walked in the hall. I also didn't like that there was only one operational elevator.
The location was decent although it is next door to a car lot. There are 2 entrances. There is a parking lot (smallish and a bit tight) and a parking garage that has 7’ clearance. Luckily it wasn’t horribly busy and we were able to park my truck in the lot (no guarantees if busy and judging by the entrance it would have been a nightmare to turn into…so blessed not to have to try. I could imagine it would have been like some of the ones in DC!) the hotel looked new-ish on the outside. The room has been renovated. The fridge in the cabinet needs to be replaced. It runs hot and the cabinet needs something to vent itself because it holds the heat inside the cabinet. I brought my own WiFi tower so can’t speak to the guest WiFi. We didn’t turn on the tv as we stream from our phones. Was actually thrilled about the location. There are some wonderful restaurants and shopping. And the room was clean. The blinds seem very new. They’re cool. The bed is very comfy. Couldn’t figure out how to keep the headboard lamps on. I’m guessing most of this is why it’s rated an 8. It kinda isn’t an 8 but mostly because it’s missing the hospitality part. The room rate I paid was a bit over the actual value and incidentals are laughable especially for multiple nights you give one towel one washcloth and one hand towel per guest and the definitely aren’t adult sized bath sheets and you don’t replenish them. I need at least two sets a day. Like I shouldn’t have to bring my own. ***This isn’t to the staff or guests, but the owner and general manager: quit cheaping out, it isn’t saving you money nor attracting repeat visitors. It will eventually sink you. Where I came from, we had a resort style hotel sink itself over the little things. Your guests keep telling you the general maintenance and hospitality aspects are important and dark smoke filled garages are scary to them, as well as an open elevator not working being an unsettling nuisance.
So we walked in to a huge wall of blowers. They weren’t being used, just stored. I was guessing from a spill or flood or something. There were no signs indicating but read through the comments today on our last day and it says from a water main break. I feel like they should have told us. They also lack in hospitality. A room should always have more washcloths and towels than people staying times days. They didn’t come by to replenish or pick up old ones. And as everyone listed one of the elevators is not working and held open and both are side by side and smallish. They also charged a $50 incidental fee though my booking.com said nothing should be charged. I even discussed this with the front desk and she wouldn’t budge saying she was directed f to collect it. The front desk person said she charged my card then absolutely refused to give me a receipt for the charge on my card. Not put a hold on it, charged. That wasn’t advertised. And not saying I couldn’t pay it, but I remember when I was younger being very tight on money and credit and that at the time may have meant that even though I prepaid the room months ago, I would have been staying in my car or turning around and going home. Or not having money to eat. Hotels shouldn’t cause flashbacks or trauma. So looking at most of the things, it looks like I already in my mind had complaints that others said as well. And I’m guessing if they don’t have any pseudo healthy breakfast options I won’t be partaking of the breakfast advertised because I have a few health issues and am a bit overweight and don’t need to add junk to the mix. And my daughter won’t likely eat it.
And BTW, the a/c is a bit loud, the closet doors need to be adjusted, because they stick and are loud when closing them. And the fridge cycles on a bit loud. I’m not a light sleeper but can see how people who are traveling and already stressed might have issues with it.
We didn’t go to the pool, so can’t speak to it.
Location
Construction that was not made aware of. 4pm on a Saturday out of the blue there was all of a sudden drilling and banging which sounded like was outside my door but then believe it was below me.

The TV didn’t work. I went downstairs. They said it was gonna find someone to fix it. Nobody came and fixed it. There was a knock on my door at 7 o’clock housekeeping where I don’t check out till 12 horrible
Room was clean.
We arrived late and their systems were down. Staff had to go check rooms to see if anyone was in them before being given a room. Took about 20 minutes to check in. We were put on a floor where there was Ethernet cable hanging all through the ceiling in the hallways. Causing a huge hazard. Was over charged from what I was quoted with booking by about $40
Room was very nice, clean and comfortable.
Pool and breakfast were good.
Unfortunately the property had a big water main break the day we arrived and the lobby was wet and a mess. This of course was out of their control. They gad service people working very hard on it. They out us on the 5th floor away from it.
The location was convenient for what we were doing. They also had free parking.
The hotel was under renovation construction when we stayed there. This hotel is in need of the renovation. (One of the metal pieces from our tub drain was missing and there are scratches and dings on the woodwork, fogged up vapor seal windows etc…) I don’t appreciate paying for a quiet room to relax in and being given the room we were. We were not told about construction ahead of reserving and didn’t find out until arriving and checking in. We had VERY loud construction directly above us for a couple of hours the afternoon we checked in. It literally sounded like they were coming through the bathroom ceiling. We woke up to more construction the next morning. The elevators were dirty from the construction crews using them to haul tools and materials. We left with plaster dust (from the elevators) on our shoes and suitcases. I emailed the manager multiple times and have been ignored. I won’t stay at one of their hotels again. The construction was bad but being ignored by the manager was the straw that broke the camels back.
CHARGE $50 FOR SECURITY WHICH WE DIDNT KNOW ABOUT WHEN BOOKED

Location
Book into a room that was under construction. With big hole drilled threw concrete ceiling and 14 inch hole cut in Wall exposed insulation. Sheetrock and concrete dust all over tables and floor. Insulation on bedspread. Request a deferent room. Was informed none available. Came in next evening from work. House keeping replaced towels made bed. But never cleaned up anything or vacuumed construction debris on floor. Booked threw 3rd party so it was a 3 night stay none refundable. So I stayed in the itchy room. Because I'm traveling for work on a budget. Emails and several calls to contact general manager with no answer. Poorly management and hardly could find staff at front desk. No one at desk at 6 am to check me out. Had to call several times to get checked out. Place has lacked maintenance for awhile. Only one elevator working. The one that was working was very sketchy like making you want to take stairs. Very poor house keeping threw out the hotel. Hardly anybody ever at front desk to assist you with anything.
