Beautiful Stay
Pros:

The location was brilliant central to Penshurst Place, Chatwell House, Hever Castle, Tonbridge Seven Oaks and Chiddingstone Castle. The hotel has parking and reserve your parking for you. The staff were warm and friendly. It is a relaxed atmosphere. The hotel was over 3 floors and a small lift available. I loved the character and the grandeur of the hotel. It had a beautiful bar, relaxing parlour and lovely garden available to relax in. Meals and snacks readily available with room service. Outside there was a very considered smoking area for residents, under covered with a relaxed seating area. There was a dedicated outside dining area open for meals and drinks. Breakfast was beautiful with a wide range of choice, a mixture of self service with hot food served at your table. Waiters available to help you with trays to your table.
The bed was comfortable. The room very clean. Excellent to see L’Occitane products available in the room, with slippers, dressing gowns, iron, ironing board. Fridge. Tea and coffee facilities along with a Nespresso machine. The bar providing warm milk if available. TV, everything that you need. Most importantly, nearly forgot the room had air con, which was handy due to the weather being mid 30’s while we were there and this hotel accepts pets.

Cons:

The bathroom was beautiful but the decor in the room was dated.

Overall it is an excellent hotel, comfy rooms and lovely helpful staff.
Pros:

It was beautiful, period style with modern room facilities. Bedroom was superb, bed exceptionally comfy and bathroom fantastic. I had the Pomery Room. Staff were fantastic.

Cons:

Only the restaurant menu. Limited choice, but great presentation and quality. Dessert menu was poor choice, otherwise ok.

Have previously felt a stay at Hotel du Vin to be a treat, this time the room we were given was rather ‘tired’ looking
Pros:

Beautiful building, good location, comfortable bed and nice bedlinen.

Cons:

Bathroom had black mould between tiled flashback and the sink.
Rather grubby old looking carpet, generally a little ‘tired’ decor wise.
The food was not up to the standard of the previous times we’ve been to various Hotel du Vins

A break to remember.
Pros:

We went with two friends and had two deluxe rooms on the second floor overlooking the park for 3 nights, DB&B.
The hotel location in the centre of Tunbridge Wells is ideal. Parking was reserved right outside the entrance.
It's location is also ideal for visiting the numerous NT properties in Kent.
The hotel was comfortable, clean and with all the amenities that you would expect for Hotel Du Vin.
The Bistro restaurant and bar had superb food and the staff provided the highest level of service during the whole day. Although I can't name everyone Sam on reception, Rebecca in the bar and especially Sonny in the Bistro restaurant made our stay memorable.
Thank you to everyone, we will return.

Wonderful meal at Bistro
Pros:

A very enjoyable evening at the Hotel. We had a wonderful meal at La bistro, excellent food, the salad nicoise and trout dish were delicious. Great service from Sonny, ably assisted by Riley and Alex.
Victoria on reception was most welcoming when we checked in.
Special thanks to Andy the chef

Emerald Wedding Anniversary
Pros:

My husband & I celebrated our Emerald Wedding Anniversary at the hotel on the 18th July 2026. We would like to praise Tiffany, our events organiser, for a wonderful event & Seb, our server on the night for his sterling work. Very professional & polite. Well done team. The food was of a very high standard & our guests had a really lovely time.

Do not recommend
Pros:

Very poor meal, tiny piece of monk fish which was over cooked and tough with a very oily nasty dipping sauce and some skinny frozen chips for £40.00. It was inedible, bad value for money and bad lazy chef would not recommend.
