Pros:

Luxurious hotel with excellent service and attitude

Cons:

I was surprised that there was no air conditioning in the room, it was really hot and the hotel responded that they had not yet switched to summer and their temperature control was like in winter. Outside temperatures were 30 degrees and above. The hotel's solution was to provide a fan and leave the windows open.

Lovely and authentic
Pros:

Authentic historical hotel. World’s best mountain lake view. Renovation done well. Rooms are authentic but high tech and spacious.

Cons:

The lobby and reception area need an update. The light fixtures are dated.
Carpeting in lobby needs replaced.
The access to the lake walk is a bit treacherous.

We are glad we visited the High Tatras and chose to stay at the Grand Kempinski.
Pros:

We loved the old world charm of the hotel. It is a lovely hotel located in a beautiful setting. We loved walking around the property and the lake which is right next to the property. The spa facilities were great with an awesome view of the mountains and lakes. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. All in all a very memorable stay.

Liked the whole experience.
