An exceptional Sacred Valley stay: beautiful, safe, deeply welcoming, and unforgettable
Pros:

We spent an extended stay at Casa Andina Premium Valle Sagrado with our two young children, and it became one of the most memorable parts of our time in Peru. The property is quietly spectacular: peaceful, spacious, framed by mountains, full of gardens and open air, and imbued with the kind of calm that makes the Sacred Valley feel almost cinematic. It is elegant without being precious, family-friendly without sacrificing comfort, and thoughtfully designed for travelers who want both rest and a genuine sense of place.

Location:
The hotel is wonderfully located for exploring the Sacred Valley. It feels serene and removed from the busier tourist corridors, while still being well positioned for visits to Urubamba, Ollantaytambo, Chinchero, Maras, Moray, Pisac, and other cultural sites. For families, it is also an excellent base because the grounds themselves are so spacious and relaxing. The hotel never feels like merely a place to sleep between excursions; it is very much part of the experience.

Rooms and property:
During our stay, we tried both the villa doble and the habitación superior doble, and both were excellent in different ways.

The habitación superior doble was especially convenient because it was closer to the main amenities. With young children, that made daily life wonderfully easy. The kids could practically roll out of bed in the morning and head straight to the alpaca feedings, which quickly became one of their favorite rituals.

The villa doble offered more space and a beautiful sense of privacy. It featured a large bathtub, an indoor shower, and a charming outdoor Inca-style shower, which gave the room a distinctive Sacred Valley character. The private garden with patio furniture was another lovely feature. It became the perfect place for morning coffee, quiet pauses, and afternoon snacks with the children.

The property itself is one of the hotel’s greatest strengths. The gardens, paths, mountain views, and open spaces gave our children room to wander and gave the adults space to breathe. The atmosphere is peaceful, warm, and deeply connected to the landscape. It is the kind of place where mornings feel special and evenings feel restorative.

One of the things we appreciated most, especially with two young children, was how safe and manageable the property felt. Compared with other beautiful hotels in the region, including Tambo del Inka and Aranwa, Casa Andina Premium Valle Sagrado gave us a level of peace of mind that made a real difference. The layout felt much easier with small children: fewer sharp edges, less anxiety around the river, and no easily accessible pool areas requiring constant vigilance. For a family, those details matter enormously. The hotel allowed us to relax in a way that we simply could not in properties where the construction, water features, or pool access required us to remain on high alert.

Experiences and activities:
One of the things that made our stay especially memorable was the variety of experiences offered by the hotel. We tried several of them, and they added warmth, fun, and a lovely rhythm to our days.

The mini chef pizza class was a nice, simple activity for children. Our kids enjoyed participating hands-on, preparing their own pizzas, and feeling included in the process. It was playful, easygoing, and well suited to young children.

The ceviche cooking class was a true highlight for our family. We did it with the kids, and they loved it. It was a wonderful way to introduce them to one of Peru’s most iconic dishes in a fun, approachable, and interactive setting. The class was relaxed enough for children to enjoy, while still giving us a deeper appreciation for Peruvian cuisine.

The star observatory was magical in the Sacred Valley setting. Looking at the night sky from such a peaceful location, surrounded by mountains, made the evening feel very special. It was educational, memorable, and beautifully suited to the atmosphere of the property.

We also loved the movie night under the stars, which was a charming and cozy way to end the day. Watching a film outdoors in the cool Sacred Valley evening created a beautiful atmosphere, and it was exactly the kind of thoughtful detail that makes the hotel feel welcoming rather than merely well run.

Spa and wellness:
We were also able to try the spa services, which became another unexpected highlight of our stay. The Inka massage was both relaxing and genuinely fun, and, to our surprise, wonderfully kid-friendly. I was able to do it with my young son, who was delighted by the stones and maracas. We enjoyed it together twice, and it became the perfect relaxing afternoon treat: calm, playful, and memorable without feeling overly formal.

I also tried a facial with my young daughter. I received the full service, while she was able to enjoy a gentle face massage alongside me. It was a lovely mother-daughter moment, made possible by the warmth and flexibility of the spa team.

The massage and aesthetic technicians were exceptionally kind, accommodating, and thoughtful in their approach to our special requests. They were flexible about having children present and fully involved during the treatments, which made the experience feel generous rather than merely tolerated. Their warmth reflected the broader spirit of the hotel: professional, gracious, and genuinely family-friendly.

Service:
The service was outstanding. The staff was consistently kind, attentive, patient, and generous with our family. Everyone made us feel genuinely welcome, and that warmth made a tremendous difference during a longer stay with small children. The team was helpful without being intrusive, professional without being cold, and always willing to assist with thoughtful suggestions and practical needs.

The staff went well beyond ordinary hospitality, making our entire family feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. When my son broke his favorite ceramic piece, which had been given to him during our stay, the team immediately gathered the fragments and carefully restored it; watching them work so seamlessly to bring a little boy’s treasure back to life was one of the most touching moments of our stay.

Family-friendliness:
This is a wonderful hotel for families. Our children loved the space, the alpacas, the gardens, the relaxed rhythm of the property, and the activities available during the stay. The hotel allowed us to enjoy the Sacred Valley in a way that felt manageable, safe, and joyful with young kids. It gave them room to play and explore, while giving us the comfort and confidence of staying somewhere clean, well run, and genuinely considerate of families.

Food and dining:
The food was one of the great surprises of our stay. We ate at many restaurants in the area, including in Urubamba, Ollantaytambo, and around Maras and Moray, and the consistent quality of the food at Casa Andina Premium Valle Sagrado was superior to what we found elsewhere. The chef and kitchen team are exceptional. Everything we ordered felt carefully prepared, fresh, balanced, and beautifully presented.

The restaurant was also convenient, comfortable, and welcoming for a family. We especially appreciated being able to enjoy genuinely excellent meals without having to leave the property every time, which is invaluable when traveling with young children. The quality was not merely “good for a hotel”; it was consistently excellent in its own right.

The included breakfast was outstanding: very complete, fresh, generous, and thoughtfully presented. There were artisanal breads, many savory options, personalized egg dishes, plenty of fresh fruit, and a beautiful selection of local products. We especially appreciated touches such as prickly pear/cactus fruit, kiwicha pop, quinoa pop, maca, cañihua, and other regional ingredients that made breakfast feel connected to the place rather than generic. It was the kind of breakfast that worked beautifully for both adults and children, and it made mornings at the hotel especially enjoyable.

Cleanliness and comfort:
The property was very clean and well cared for. The common areas, rooms, gardens, spa, and facilities all reflected a high standard of maintenance. The hotel felt safe, calm, and comfortable throughout our stay.

Sleep quality:
Excellent. The quiet setting, fresh air, comfortable rooms, and peaceful atmosphere made it easy to rest. After days of exploring the Sacred Valley, coming back to the hotel felt restorative.

Value:
For the quality of the property, the warmth of the service, the beauty of the setting, the generous breakfast, the exceptional food, the thoughtful spa experiences, and the overall sense of safety and ease, Casa Andina Premium Valle Sagrado offers excellent value. It is not just a convenient base for visiting the Sacred Valley; it is a memorable destination in itself.

Overall:
Casa Andina Premium Valle Sagrado exceeded our expectations. It offered the rare combination of comfort, beauty, authenticity, family-friendliness, safety, excellent food, thoughtful wellness services, and heartfelt hospitality. The property itself is beautiful, but the staff, the kitchen, the breakfast, the spa team, the family-friendly layout, the rooms, the experiences, and the peaceful rhythm of the place are what made our stay truly unforgettable.

We left with immense gratitude and very fond memories. For anyone visiting the Sacred Valley, especially families looking for a peaceful, safe, beautiful, and well-located base, I would recommend it wholeheartedly.

Beautiful facility. Excellent staff. It was a surprise that the bathroom was on a different level than the bedroom of our suite. And watch the shower floor -- it is very slick.
