1st time Overnight Visit
Pros:

Quick, easy check in. Close to cafes, restaurants and pubs. Parking in hotel car park.

Cons:

It was great our room had been changed to one with air con. However, after taking the lift we had to go down a few stairs and down a corridor to get to our room. My partner has a disability and whilst he can walk a short distance this caused some difficulties due to the nature of his disability.

Pros:

The reception staff were pleasant, the location was very good in the centre of Kenilworth. The room was comfortable, clean and tidy.

Cons:

I didn't like the fact there was no air-conditioning in the rooms. The staff and service in the bar /restaurant was appalling. The staff were not very polite and the time spent waiting for the meal to arrive was disgusting, this had to be chased. Considering it is supposed to be a good place to stay, I will not be going back.

Not value for money and not the best room at all.
Pros:

Staff that welcomed us were friendly and explained all details well, even filled our refillable water bottle with fresh water and ice.

Cons:

The bathroom had mould stains in the ceiling, missing hand wash or soap and no toilet roll holder, the next day had a few aggressive knocks on the room door at 9am, even though I confirmed with the receptionist that check out was not until 11am, when lying down on the bed you can clearly feel the mattress springs not a comfy sleep at all.

Il fatto che non si possano aprire abbastanza le finestre,, le camere erano molto calde. La seconda notte non ci hanno rimesso le lenzuola e mancava un asciugamano, quindi ci vuole una maggiore attenzione al rifacimento delle camere.

Truly apalling
Cons:

Advertised as air conditioned so booked and paid in advance for a last minute overnight stay.
Parking was a nightmare, air con was broken.
Had a really warm welcome from the staff on the desk and check in was easy.
The room was clean but a little grubby and worn, staibs on the carpets and marks on the walls, bed reasonably comfortable but all the duvets had been removed due to the heatwave. Had to have the window open next to the main roundabout in the town and a fan on all night so got very little sleep, then to add insult to injury, housekeeping banged on the door at 8.30am despite an 11am check out time and woke me up again.
I got up to have a shower ... I've stayed in lots of Holiday Inns over the years and I can categorically state this was the worst bathroom shower I have ever encountered. Haven't you heard of mould spray or scrubbing brushes? I decided not to bother and wet my hair under the tap. I darent even imagine what was on the handle of the hairdryer!!!
When I reported this to the front desk on check out the response I got was "I've worked here years and I know how bad it is".

Good hotel, great location

In die Jahre gekommenes Hotel mit zentraler Blage, gutem Frühstück, und freundlichen, hilfsbereiten Personal.
Pros:

Die Lage ist sehr gut, man ist zentral in Kenilworth. Das Personal ist freundlich besonders morgens beim Frühstück. Das Frühstück ist auch sehr gut.
Betten sind hervorragend

Cons:

Das Hotel ist mittlerweile recht in die Jahre gekommen. Wir waren jetzt ins gesamt 3 mal da. Und es wird immer mal was renoviert, wie z.B Badezimmer, aber das Mobiliar und die Teppiche besonders auf den Fluren aber auch leider im Zimmer) haben schon deutlich Gebrauchs Spuren. Was ganz übel war das im ganzen Hotel außer in den Fluren und unten in der Lobby/ Bar und Restaurant die Klimaanlage nicht funktioniert hat. Und wir waren da als es 33 grad hatte.

Terrible terrible terrible
Pros:

No Aircon in the rooms. Total lie that this was available. AC works in the bar and the hallways, but the rooms are topping 35 degrees at 9pm. No chance of a 4 and 6 year old sleeping. I spotted a couple with a baby in the lobby waiting for their room, these are dangerous temperatures for a child. Terrible terrible terrible.
