Nice enough room. Mine had an ensuite. Comfortable enough. Clean enough.
It's just a basic room, so no issues. Space is a bit tight. Sea view is not a sea view and there's a lot of stairs up to that room with luggage. No lobby or breakfast room (fine for me). Parking is difficult. Situated on a hill.
the room was clean, nicely decorated and had all the facilities we wanted. i liked the extra touches like ear plug and extra tea making items outside the room. i would stay here again
the view was not great. there was a scruffy old shed. otherwise we were very happy with our stay
Easy access. Good location
Location was good close to the seafront about a twenty minute walk to the centre - quirky property it was clean and very tidy tea and coffee facilities and towels etc.
Parking is a nightmare - no parking close by we used buzz bingo just park costing £20 - also there was a leak in the ceiling in daughters room which was dripping into the bed which isn’t ideal but could have been other guests or from the rain

Really liked that you felt like you were in a hotel without the unnecessary fuss of staff but they were very ready to respond with any requests. The room was clean and spacious and the bed was superbly comfortable.
There was no socket for the bedside lamp on one side (rm 15) which is annoying for a reader! So I had to pull one plug out of the TV sockets to make it work and pull the side table closer to the tv. Also the positioning of the coffee table which had the kettle on it was 2 metres away from the nearest socket so we had to move that completely. Additionally the shower was appalling- pressure and temperature consistency! Because im pretty chill these weren't enough to make an issue out of but on reflection are probably irritating things that could be remedied for others.

Location. Clean and comfortable
Shower was weak and water went from cold to hot, back and forth and last morning there was no hot water
Comfortable bed, nice interior design, nice big TV. Good location a stones throw from kemptown high street for good food selection and the beach. And a short walk into the city centre.
The water pressure on the 3rd floor deluxe room was abysmal, meaning the shower didn't work most of the time. And it meant standing in the shower for a long time without water, until the pressure came back on. I suspect you would need to shower when others are not in the hotel. It did put a big downer on the stay, and the hotel wouldn't offer a partial refund, but booking.com did.
There was an attempt to make the room nice. There was some thought and some nice touches.
Poorly finished all around. No obvious place to plug in the kettle so was on the floor, shower ran hot and cold, only 3 cost hangers one was broken. Iron supplied but no ironing board. Bath moved around when you tried to get in. Door security was lapse, feel mildy unsafe and not particularly secure, especially during the day.
