We would not recommend this property or be staying there again.
Pros:

The location was excellent

Cons:

Self check in and out. We didn’t see anyone until we were leaving and then it was only by chance. There was no hot water or pressure and no one to report it to.

Great Little place to stay
Pros:

Location was perfect. Charming building and rooms. Bed very comfortable. Good choice of continental breakfast.

Cons:

Bathroom was very small. Although temporary, breakfast table too small for number of guests and plates had to be out in an ensuite for the temporary breakfast room. No member of staff to help or support temporary process.

A lovely period property with spacious rooms and comfortable beds.
Pros:

I have stayed at the Fairlawn House some years ago when working in the area and so it was my default choice this time, the rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. I didn't get the opportunity to interact with any staff during this stay and so cannot comment.

Cons:

No mini-fridge in the room

Expensive, not clean, room with various issues, almost no service with good wifi and location
Pros:

Location and wifi, self service breakfast

Cons:

There were fried chicken crumps on the floor. Small towel was dirty. There were cobwebs on the main light piece. Room was dusty. toilet sink was clogged. bathroom door was broken. Fan wouldn't turn around. Window wouldn't stay open properly. No staff present, I asked 1 question in WhatsApp and never got a reply. All these for 138€ per night...

Pros:

Good location in the middle of town. We were greeted nicely and with some helpful advice regarding how to stay comfortable in the current heat. The room was a good size but the ensuite was very compact.

Cons:

There is no real service beyond the provision of a room. You are left to your own devices in this hotel once you have checked in. I maybe should have checked ahead of time but there is no bar, no restaurant and no other options beyond the tea & coffee making in the room. The breakfast was OK but even that was an un-manned help yourself experience. Overall the price for the room did not represent good value for money.

Pros:

It's a lovely building, situated in the centre, with easy access.
Ample breakfast is available with lots of choice.
The room was clean and the ensuite was very modern and also very clean.
An extra fan was provided for our comfort as it was the hottest week on record in the UK and the whole place was overheated.
