Pros:

Good location in the middle of town. We were greeted nicely and with some helpful advice regarding how to stay comfortable in the current heat. The room was a good size but the ensuite was very compact.

Cons:

There is no real service beyond the provision of a room. You are left to your own devices in this hotel once you have checked in. I maybe should have checked ahead of time but there is no bar, no restaurant and no other options beyond the tea & coffee making in the room. The breakfast was OK but even that was an un-manned help yourself experience. Overall the price for the room did not represent good value for money.

It's a lovely building, situated in the centre, with easy access.
Ample breakfast is available with lots of choice.
The room was clean and the ensuite was very modern and also very clean.
An extra fan was provided for our comfort as it was the hottest week on record in the UK and the whole place was overheated.

Eerily bot-run hotel

It is centrally located and the rooms are comfortable.

Cons:

This place is run by bots. The lady who cleans is quite nice. The fire alarm testing and loud construction during the day was annoying but obviously necessary. Otherwise we didn’t see any people. Oddly, the plumbing is very loud. You hear banging in the walls every time and guest flushes or showers. From the add this seems like a farmhouse but it’s clearly always been a hotel.

Pros:

Shower was fantastic and the room was small but really nicely done and so were all the complementary teas coffees etc the building was lovely and really tastefully done

Cons:

Bright security light on building nearby was on all night - no human contact and slow answers in WhatsApp even with code WiFi didn’t work - people sat on front steps smoking which I see has been mentioned before
