Shower was good and hot.
Damp feel to room. Towel rail didn't work. They said it was broken. Towels were also very thin. Radiator switched off for summer. Breakfast was appalling.
Staff n food very good. Breakfast plenty of choice.
Convenient for town centre n shops

It’s a lovely old building set in nice grounds
There were huge gaps under the doors. Plug sockets limited. When people walked past your door it was so loud the whole room shook. The room was meant to be dog friendly but was quite far away from the exit and would have benefited from being ground floor. £20 per night per dog is a lot of money considering nothing for the dog is catered for.
The noise from party of lads banging doors kept us up till after 3.0 in the morning causing us to oversleep and miss our pre paid breakfast. The reception only offered us a free drink . I would not recommend this hotel if you value your sleep.
Location of the hotel in Shifinal has nice frontage to high street.
The building is very old 1699. Reception area very small and not very welcoming to arriving guests, small reception desk with nobody present on arrival for 10 minutes, no bell to ring. Not a very positive start to our stay.
room - its nice and quiet area. the blinds in my room is not properly put on and its coming off. I have no enough light unless i carefully roll the blind and hook it with a piece of fabric.
not many staff in the restaurant or in the bar; have to wait for someone before i get a drink; when i use the restaurant at dinner time, they did not give you a glass of water while waiting. My previous stay was very good but this time the service is not as good as before

Staff lovely, generally the room was nice comfy bed. Couple of issues no hot water for a shower at most luke warm. Toilet rim was gross not cleaned but mentioned to staff who will pass it on. Bath panel needs replacement due to wear and tear. This would not stop me staying again as room was lovely, bed super comfy.

Lovely hotel very old, food was good, room was excellent large, adequate storage, big shower room with double shower. Enjoyable stay
I found the bed a bit uncomfortable but my husband thought it was ok!
Staff were great, although I had to search them out to finalise the restaurant bill,
They preferred to chat in the bar rather than check on restaurant requirements.
This is not a criticism, just an observation !
Poor directions to my room
Friendly reception staff. Clean bed.
Very run down. In need of tlc. Missing pelmets, torn lampshades, scuffed & tatty furnishings. Cracked bathroom floor tiles, missing parts on taps.
