Breakfast was exceptional. Location was good.
The metal winding staircase up to our room, made carrying a suitcase quite tricky.
Beautiful boutique experience. Pleasant staff, warm welcoming atmosphere. Stunning building and room.
Nothing not to like
Room smelt as did landings floors squeaking coffee machine couldn’t work out how to use it Wi-Fi not strong enough signal to be able to use the hotel needs updating
Beautiful house & furniture. Very tasty breakfast.
Didn’t really like much. A lovely old house but let down by cleanliness, service , no WiFi and poor breakfast.
A very odd experience. Lack of professionalism. Definitely needs a lot of tlc and attention to detail.
Our second visit and again we weren’t disappointed. Great hotel in good location. Room spacious and clean. Breakfast delicious with plenty of choice. Good car parking.
Limited Wi-Fi
We enjoyed the contact with the owner on site. She supported us by providing a charging point for our Morris Traveller battery overnight.
The breakfast was delicious with a variety of options offered. Freshly made for each resident.
Sadly the toilet door didn't close but a Gonk had been provided to hold it nearly closed!
Breakfast was OK, but it was the start of the season and they were training new staff, so the service was very slow. Room was mostly OK and the bed was comfortable enough. Parking is OK, but a bit crowded when the hotel was full on the saturday night. Location is pretty good for the coast and there are a number of eating options in the village.
Room was in the former stables (I assume) it was up a very narrow staircase, which was tricky to navigate with a suitcase, and had a sloping roof, which I constantly banged my head on - my wife was OK, but she is only 5'1".
Location and access as well as good service
Beautiful property in good location right next to the church. Our room was in the coach house and was very clean and comfortable. There is a large car park. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice
Would definitely recommend.
A note in our room said the Wi-Fi was limited. We had no Wi-Fi in our room.
Clean good location nice staff
Nothing
Stacie and Peter provided such a warm.welcome. They clearly work extremely hard and give local young people a chance of work. We stayed upstairs in the Coach House. A large room and even larger bathroom! A lovely cooked breakfast. A really great location to explore Flamborough, Bempton and Filey.
Noise from the rooms below is easily heard so can cause disturbance at night - I had to go and ask the guests staying there to quieten down so that we could get to sleep.
The shower has a leak to the floor below, so the guests using it had to come upstairs and tell us - which limited our use of it.
Character
No shower in room No 9 only a bath. The bed which they call an Extra large king size bed was cheaply put together which made it very uncomfortable.Nice view up in the Attic.
Lovely quaint old fashioned hotel , very comfortable accommodate. Breakfast excellent , the breakfast staff were amazing, very helpful young people
Very poor Wfi - did attempt to speak with a grumpy man who was disinterested, claiming he generally stayed in the kitchen welding a clever .. other than that, no issues
Almost everything went well, especially the cooperation of the staff.
Poor WiFi
