Lovely staff. Comfy bed. Loved the fact when I returned from the city, the tv was left on in the dining room so I could sit relax and watch the game.
The pictures provided accurately represented the room I was assigned. The location is excellent, conveniently situated near both the airport and the city center, with a bus stop directly outside. The breakfast offered was satisfactory. Overall, I would consider this a good value.
The property requires a little refurbishment.
The hosts are lovely and there’s a bus stop right outside the door. It’s very handy for reaching the city centre and the airport.
It’s very run down, to the point of not really being suitable for hosting guests. The bedroom was adequately clean but under the bed was filthy with dust and the bed itself falling apart. The shower was powerful but the door wouldn’t stay closed. The tiles were taped to the wall and a bit of a hazard. The main road is very loud and the walls very thin. I could frequently hear other guests coughing and watching tv. The doors are locked with a physical key and there’s no way to open the door without it which would be worrying in the event of a fire. This is more of a B&B than a hotel and breakfast was a bit miserable. The reviews on this accommodation are very kind, probably given that the hosts are so lovely. However I would not stay again. Everything was done to the absolute cheapest, which is a pity because it has such potential as a nice alternative out of the city.

More selection of drinks could be available to buy. No diet coke for example
Location is great, bus stop out the front with frequent pick ups. Get the all day ticket to you back later for best value.
Staff lovely - allowed me to drop my car early before checking and gave me room key so we could just get back when we were ready. Lovely chat over breakfast. This is a very friendly and hospitable accomodation.

We had a ground floor room (thank heavens)- no noise from upper floor rooms.

Beds comfy though I had the lower bunk and there was little room to sit up in bed with top bunk quite low.
Some character features as in most older style accomodation which I enjoy! Look out for ‘Big Chief’ - he scared the wits out of me 😂
Room was a bit cramped with a double bed and the bunk bed. There was little space available to put my suitcase.
Shower quite small but lovely and warm. I was able to turn the bathroom heater off - we find most of the places we stayed on this trip very warm and had varying luck turning off heating so it was good to be able to turn this one off.
Gute Lage, direkt an der Bushaltestelle. Frühstück war sehr lecker.
Das Zimmer war extrem hellhörig. Das Gemeinschaftsbad war hinter eine später hochgezogen Wand in meinem Zimmer. Die Pumpe war so laut, dass nach 7:00 Uhr morgens kein Schlaf mehr möglich war. Die Matratze leider extrem durchgelegen, und kein weiteres Licht außer das Halogendeckenlicht. Für 150 € die Nacht gerade noch so gerechtfertigt.

Close to edinburgh zoo about a 10 minute walk. Loads of busses to edinburgh city centre just outside door
