Categories

Cleanliness
6.8
Multiple guests reported dust build-up, dusty fan, beetle on the bed and generally worn/poorly maintained rooms; some mentions of clean towels and daily housekeeping mitigates but overall cleanliness concerns reduce score.
Service
9.6
Consistently praised: very friendly and helpful staff, proactive communication before stay, restaurant recommendation and reservation, daily housekeeping and attentive reception.
Location
9.9
Repeatedly highlighted as excellent — central, great views, peaceful setting and ideal for exploring Rye; a standout strength of the property.
Room Quality
7.6
Rooms are characterful and charming but often described as a bit tired/shabby with issues such as small dusty fans, limited plugs, split layouts with non-working TVs and occasional maintenance problems.
Amenities
7.8
Some positives (bathtub, happy hour) but limited on practical amenities: weak ventilation/AC, small fans, limited parking/loading only, missing toilet brush and little bathroom storage; mixed overall.
Value for Money
8.2
Many guests called it good value and praised the price for location/character, though a few felt some rooms were overpriced given ventilation/room condition.
Food and Beverage
8
Breakfast is often praised as fresh and good, though a few guests reported poor coffee or unpleasant items (mushrooms) and minor bathroom supply issues.
Overall Experience
9.3
Overall positive stays: charming, great location and friendly staff make for a recommendable experience despite some cleanliness and room-maintenance shortcomings.

Cons:

Disappointing breakfast. Very good selection of buffet food(fruit, cereals, ham, cheese) etc. Cooked food disappointingly tasteless. Need to upgrade quality of food items.

Cons:
