The attention to security was impressive. I forgot my Tom Ford prescription shades in the room and they kept them safe till I called. I was informed they had been found and had a friend collect them for me.

very nice staff. the breakfast is very good.
the restaurant is excellent and the waiters are nice and helpful.
Room was comfortable and spacious.
there is a free shuttle service that brings near the Mandela shopping mall.
wifi is very slow. both lifts were broken at one point, so guests had to go up the stairs (in my case, 7 floors). one lift was broken in another occasion too.
gym is very small.
I could go out early morning come back around 4 and my room still not cleaned
I end up getting a twin room of which I was traveling alone overall the staff where so very friendly in the restaurant 10 out of 10 and at reception
My problem is only on time to clean the rooms sometimes they end up not cleaning because when im back I will be tired I need to rest jus ending removing garbage that it

I liked the room and the fact that it has a carpet. I was so cold but a gentelman came and showed me how to work the heat. And they would start to heat the room earlier so that I found it warm by the time I was back at the hotel.
Also the lighting was great. Hotels are often dim but Southern Sun Sandton was nice and bright
The bathroom sometimes had a strong smell in the mornings that i suspect came from the plumbing system.
