Very disappointing stay except for location.
Pros:

Location good..close to the Barbican,Hoe and City centre.
Drinking water fountain in hallway

Cons:

-Attitude of staff ..not friendly or welcoming.
-Communication on how to enter on late arrival. I had to chase a few times.
- only advised me that breakfast wasn't included after payment taken before arrival. We went out for breakfast locally.
- Expensive for the facilities on offer when no meals included. I booked breakfast but they said I hadn't.
- Room not cleaned or bed made during our stay.
- We had to request toilet paper as it wasn't replenished.
- We had to request tea and coffee and milk as not replenished.
- The bed was uncomfortable and pillows too.
- Shower head fell off when showering.
- Facilities don't deserve a 4 star rating.

Poor night sleep
Pros:

Great location for theatre Barbican, hoe and city centre . Parking available. Good breakfast . Clean . Friendly staff

Cons:

We slept in room 12 and both of us had a poor night sleep due to soft springy well used mattress.
Very uncomfortable and gave me back ache .

It’s a nice place to stay, close to town
Pros:

Massive bathroom and very comfy bed

Cons:

Next door guest kept slamming their doors from 7am but that’s not the property’s fault 😅

Short stay
Pros:

Convenient location to shops and theatre all within walking distance
Parking onsite ( payable but convenient)
Had a spacious double room with a great ensuite
Good choice of breakfast both cooked and continental including gluten free options
Friendly and helpful staff
Very clean throughout

Cons:

Mattress and pillows were hard
Some of the decor and furnishings need attention as worn
Room 11 had some water damage to the ceiling with plaster missing and stains to the wall.

Staff were friendly, parking was great. We only stayed for one night, as we were going to the theatre. It was convenient
Pros:

The location was good

Cons:

Sadly the room we were given, in the very top of the building, needed to have some refurbishment, all round. The shower room toilet needs a new system for it to function properly we feel, as the room toilet did not smell good at all and was very noisy. We decided not to use the shower, as we didn’t want to be in the room, with such a bad smell.

L’établissement est très bien placé, le bâtimemt est beau de l’extérieur et la la salle de petit-déjeuner est jolie, mais…

Cons:

Le personnel de la Réception est très desagréable, impolie, absolument pas serviable, on a l’impression de les déranger.
Le personnel de ménage et du petit déjeuner est comme il faut.
Les chambres sont petites, très mal isolées, il faisait une chaleur insupportable car le ventilateur était inutilisabke faisait un bruit d’enfer.

The location was excellent and the staff were friendly

Cons:

The bed was rubbish and probably cheap … no fan in the room and I asked at reception but they didn’t have a spare .. room 4 I was staying seemed like it was in the basement ..
