Pros:

The receptionist guy was extremely good, he could see i was in pain walking and immediately moved us to a more suitable room in The Grand Harbour Hotel instead because it had a lift. We had a lovely nights sleep.

Economical, well-located next to harbour/marina... but loud nights, thin pillow, tiny room
Pros:

The location is very convenient in order to reach the harbour/marina. The booking was economical / good value for money, and the staff were very friendly. The room was clean and met bare minimum expectations. I also learned the accomodation is dog friendly which is a big appeal to me as a dog-owner so I may be back.

Cons:

Nights were very loud due to its extremely close proximity to bars/pubs. Between loud drunk partygoers in the street, and the seagulls on the roof, I barely slept. The pillows are VERY small/thin, I recommend bringing your own. The sheets had some threadbare holes.

Great location
Pros:

Excellent location, so close to everything.

Cons:

Shower was rubbish, kept going hot and cold at one stage it stopped altogether then came back on after a minute or so!

Good stay in Ilfracombe
Pros:

Perfectly comfortable room and great location near the sea front.

Cons:

Also near the local pub which was rather noisy when trying to sleep.

Disappointing
Pros:

The bedding was clean. There was ample tea & coffee. Staff were friendly.

Cons:

The ceiling was leaking water due to a blocked gutter outside..this then ran down the window and pooled on the floor in our room. Just given towels to mop it up.
There was an awful smell of sewage coming from the bathroom, that made the bedroom stink, which was hideous.
The room was incredibly hot, and if you opened the windows you couldn't sleep because of the drunks outside..there was 1 fan provided which did little to help when there's 4 of you in the room.
Could of stayed somewhere much nicer for the money!

Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone

Friendly male staff helped us check in and check out
Shower worked fine

Cons:

Firstly the floor in our room was sloping, making you feel you were on a boat (We actually tested with a water bottle on the floor and it rolled down). A dog was barking loudly from one of the other rooms (even though there was a sign saying no dogs). When we pointed it out to the female staff told us “well no one else has complained “. When we pointed out that there was no WiFi-details in our room she started by saying “it’s in your binder” (it wasn’t).
The room was badly cleaned and there was a very unpleasant smell from the bathroom. Everything in the room felt cheap. The breakfast was a disaster, doors to the restaurant were locked in the morning when it was supposed to be open and really unhygienic breakfast room with a dirty old coffee machine.

Fantastic location
Pros:

Check in was great. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Changed our room to one on first floor with a balcony. Great view of sea and the hustle and bustle. Loved it.

Cons:

Lots of stairs and doorways narrow. Unfortunately, one of the cups was stained with purple. Did come off with a quick run under the tap.
Bedding was very clean. Floor, although no bits and appeared clean, was dirty. Our feet were filthy. Could do with a quick mop. Other than these niggles, ideal stop off before our stay on Lundy.

Great location, but at a cost

Hanger on back of door fell off, shower fell on us while showering, bedroom not clean, ran out of hot water during showers. Bed uncomfortable.
