Friendly local pub, excellent food (very generous portions), reasonably priced. Good atmosphere, used by locals, lovely helpful bar maid Lizzy.
Plenty of parking. Would stay again/recommend.
The room just seemed a little stark on first impressions. The bathroom sink tap was too hot (and turned the reverse way), the bath screen was a bit black on the outer rim. Toby was extremely helpful but in his keenness to serve sometimes the breakfast would arrive too soon, whilst you were eating your cereal (just a minor issue resolved by training). I appreciate that it was delivered hot probably just ordered too soon.
Location so close to Highclere (our destination). Staff was so welcoming and helpful. Great breakfast.
Lovely pub a little on the expensive side for drinks , rooms comfortable got everything you need in them 😀 bathroom could do with a bit of tlc , breakfast wasn't the best eggs a bit undercooked runny whites , fruit bowl was past its best fruit flys comming from it no choice of smoked or unsmoked bacon not everyone likes smoked and for a extra £15 ppl added to room cost wasn't very impressive

Lovely quiet location,with a huge outdoor space.
The staff were exceptional and very polite & friendly. The evening food and breakfast were also excellent & worth the money. The rooms were comfortable with air conditioning. Great location to visit Highclere castle.
