Pros:

Хорошее расположение, в 10 минутах пешком от центра. Достаточно новый отель, большой номер, удобная ванная. Завтраки более менее, ожидаешь бОльшего от подобного отеля. Свой паркинг.

Cons:

Близко от аэропорта, очень слышно самолеты, с открытым окном спать невозможно.

$4,000 for a 13-hour actual stay: Strict fine print outweighs guest loyalty

The property is pretty, this is why I returned. I just had a terrible experience this round.

What a sad end to a milestone trip. I am writing this review to share our actual experience as returning guests celebrating a major 50th birthday milestone in the Azores. Severe, unprecedented fog and successive flight cancellations delayed our arrival to the property.

I contacted the hotel immediately upon being delayed by the airline, asking to adjust our itinerary dates. Management refused any schedule adjustment, holding us to the original non-refundable booking terms for the entire duration.

Although our reservation began on May 31st, flight disruptions prevented us from physically checking in until June 3rd. We completed our stay and checked out just 13 hours later to catch our scheduled transfer to Pico. In total, we paid $4,000 for a 13-hour actual stay at the hotel.

Upon returning home, I asked management to reconsider charging full price for the missed nights given these extraordinary circumstances. Management acknowledged in writing that the travel disruptions were completely beyond our control and expressed sympathy. However, they hid behind third-party rate conditions to justify keeping 100% of the $4,000 payment without offering any partial refund or credit toward a future visit.

A business’s commitment to service is tested when things go wrong. Choosing rigid policy over basic goodwill for returning guests facing a travel emergency speaks volumes. We will not be returning.

Really enjoyed this stay
Pros:

Pools and gym were good. Great breakfast.
Good location. Had live music one night. Bar staff excellent. Lots of help from front desk staff. Overall very pleased.

Need AC improvement in gym.

Pros:

Habitación triple muy grande con dos baños y gran balcón con vistas al jardín interior. Camas cómodas y grandes. Piscina exterior agradable con agua templada. Spa con piscina climatizada y jacuzzi.

Cons:

Está un poco alejado del centro, 15-20 minutos andando. La zona tiene poco atractivo y el restaurante O Baco (a 2 minutos) es un timo, muy caro y de calidad normalita.

Pros:

Breakfast was very good. Our room was very spacious and clean. Good location, just a 5 minute walk into the town.

Cons:

The hotel had a business hotel feel about it, rather than a holiday feel. Whilst there was nothing wrong with the hotel, I think it was expensive at £325 per night….I’ve stayed in much nicer hotels for less.

A great place to stay
Pros:

Staff is nice and helpful. Lots of facilities including bicycles.
Great location in the center for walking.
Breakfast has lots of food choices, with plenty of food served.

Cons:

The parking situation: they charge 10 euro a night which is very reasonable, but feels unnecessary. The only people parking there are customers, many of whom rent a car and parking could be complementary.
But the real issue is that the parking spaces are very tight because the roof supporting poles take part of the parking space
