Great stay with brilliant friendly staff
Pros:

Staff were brilliant. The touch of prosecco in the room with the balloons and brownies with the congratulations message for our wedding was a lovely touch. Hotel was great overall. The only downside was only 1 lift in use, breakfast could be better and on the day of our wedding wanted to get a drink in the bar around 10.30 before going to reception but wasn’t served as apparently they don’t serve until 11am which I have never experienced in a hotel before. But overall we had a great stay

Très bon séjour
Pros:

Emplacement parfait, juste à côté d'un arrêt de bus, proche de tout le centre ville old , chambre très bien, vue pas extraordinaire, petit déjeuner très bon à la carte et buffet. Personnel du petit déjeuner très bien et un monsieur qui parle français très appréciable. Nous avons pu laisser notre valise en attendant notre taxi très pratique.

Cons:

Que personne ne parle français à la réception, ou en anglais mais doucement ! Lors de notre séjour, il n'y avait qu'un ascenseur qui fonctionnait et parfois très long car la réception est au 5ème.

בימים שהיינו שם מעלית אחת מתוך השתיים הייתה תקולה וזה גרם לטרחה ועיכובים רבים - מכיוון שזה מלון עם קומות מרובות ולנו בקומה התשיעית. אני מניחה שזה נקודתי ומקווה שיתוקן במהרה

Schönes gut gelegenes Hotel. Wir können es empfehlen.
Pros:

Sehr zentral, schönes Zimmer, gutes Frühstück.

Cons:

Nur ein Lift war in Betrieb. Aber es gab eine Erklärung dafür.

Exhausting!

Cons:

Was meant to be superior room! Sofa was peeling and had holes in it! Throw on bed obviously hadn’t been cleaned or changed! Cleaners woke us at 8.45! Then really loud banging started next door we thought someone was kicking door down and destroying room . Tried to go for shower when drilling started and thought they were coming thru wall so gave up! When your husband isn’t in great health and you treat yourself to a quiet night away! Not!

Fijn hotel als uitvalsbasis voor een verkenning van Edinburgh

Locatie, ontbijt, personeel ontbijt

Cons:

De ontvangst voor check-in door de receptionist was mager. De dame verteld in een hoog tempo een standaardverhaal dat heel snel werd verteld en vinkje bij het kruisje.

1 van de liften deed het niet waardoor het vaak lang wachten was voor er een lift was. Het trappenhuis is geen visitekaartje voor het hotel.

Fine for a couple of days
Pros:

The reception staff were friendly— especially so with Anastasia. The rooms are clean.

Cons:

Some rooms still needed going through stairs on the same floor to access. Luckily, the receptionist managed to give us rooms with no stairs.
The coffee machine at the restaurant produces some of the worst tasting coffees. I’ve been to the Glasgow Apex and that, surprisingly, has the best coffee machine I ever tried. Apex Waterloo needs to buy the same machine! .
