Solid All Around!
Pros:

Check-in process was seamless! Front Desk Agent Monie?? was warm, effecient & very helpful! Elite status was recognized & upgrade received. 'Rolling Hill' view afar can't be beat! Clean & comfortable room. F&B staff very responsive and courteous. Hotel stay came with free commuting pass. Train/Tram/Bus stop steps away from Hotel; super convenient! One of best hotels in recent memory. Thank you SO MUCH for a very wonderful time in Bern!

Cons:

L’accès à Bernacqua est à prix réduit mais payant.
Les chambres qui donnent sur l’autoroute sont bruyantes.
Pas de bouteille d’eau dans la chambre.

Nice hotel with excellent service for IHG members
Pros:

I use this hotel every time I visit Bern for business. The #1 reason for me is the access to the BernAqua gym. This used to be complimentary for all, now it is reserved for IHG members of a certain status.
There are many equally nice hotels in Bern with good value, and I have tried a few of them. The service at HI is good, the breakfast is nice and the dinner options plenty. However for me the key reason is the gym access.

Good overall but with some flaws as described
Pros:

Very professional and friendly staff
The room was clean
The breakfast was good

Cons:

The room was cold during the nights and there was no way to turn up the heating /temperature, it said 23- 24 degrees Celsius (btw. that was the max. Temp. available) in the termostat but it was blowing cold air.
The room was initially clean, on the 2nd day the room was not really cleaned just towels changed, it is hous rules i believe not to touch people's stuff, was not bad but at least the trash could habe been taken out, unfortunately it wasn't.
The pool isnt free for 3 hours, just 10 CHF coupon/voucher from the 40 CHF price
