Location was good
When you pay the amount of money they charge per room per night, the least you expect is complimentary water in your room but no the even charge for that! The entire hotel wreaks of smoke and even non smoking rooms have this weird smell of smoke becuase of other smokers on the floor. The rooms almost smell like damp too. The staff is largely unhelpful and wants to find ways to nickel n dime you.
Have been here many times. Love that it has everything I want in it hotel and casinos!
Only negative thoughts are that the rooms are very dated. Although the carpets appeared clean, they are very old, as are the fixtures.
Breakfast was good, we ordered off the menu but a buffet is available to purchase . It was ample and service was quick and attentive
Large room, great shower enclosure, plenty of storage and surfaces + mirror in the room for make-up etc.
Easy parking.
Despite me emailing ahead about feather allergies, we had feather-filled pillows! Room service quickly sorted this out but indicative of this place, very impersonal.
Woman at check-in was very rude and abrupt; not a great welcome!
It was clean and things to do
Nothing
Check in and out was great. no wait time. Room was spacious and clean. All the hotel workers were very friendly with great customer service.
N/A
Niagara Falls. The view.
The pillow are too soft. No support at all.
Clean and staff friendly
No issue
front desk rep was not very welcoming, almost curt. nice room. spacious room. food was very good. casino slots way too tight.
stopped at front desk 3 times. reps never make eye contact and are very short when replying to guests concerns. smelled weed all over, in elevator. in hallways. in casino. at entrance to hotel someone was smoking a joint. seems trashy and out of character for a 4 star hotel.
Great location, only about a 10-minute walk to the waterfalls. The room was spacious, overall clean, and surprisingly quiet.
Overall, the hotel was not terrible, but it definitely does not feel like a proper 4-star experience. The hotel itself is very old, especially the furniture and room condition. On our first night, the toilet got clogged and the water did not go down until morning, so we had to call maintenance. Staff tried to explain why this “sometimes happens,” but we are adults and obviously did not throw anything inappropriate into the toilet. It felt more like a maintenance issue than guest error.
Our room also had a jacuzzi that barely functioned. The wooden frame around it was poorly built and parts were falling off. The jacuzzi itself looked like it had never been properly cleaned — when we filled it, the water had dust and other particles floating in it. Several control buttons did not work, some were completely ripped out, and the pipes were yellow. We ended up draining the water without using it because the whole thing felt dirty and unpleasant.
Another issue was the lack of basic toiletries. There were only two tiny shampoo bottles for two people staying two nights, which is not enough even for one use on long hair. There was not even a proper soap dish after opening the soap. Honestly, I’ve stayed in cheaper 3-star hotels with much better service and attention to detail.
