Great Location close to all public transport

Cons:

Staff were rude and blunt, dead lock on the room was deliberately broken. The “room lock” didn’t block out the room key lock. We had 2 lots of “ cleaners “ enter our room even after telling them to wait and even after our room had been serviced already. The kitchens stove vent was broken and a sign saying if the smoke alarm goes off we will be charged an extensive fee, even though we had a full kitchen to use. We asked if we could have a maintenance person look at it, we were told there was no person on the weekend so we asked to switch rooms, only to be told 15mins later the maintenance person will be up soon, that person too just walked into our room! Absolutely no privacy at all! The bathroom filled with water no drainage. Mould in the bathroom ceiling! The sheets on the bed had stray hairs on them like they had just been remade instead of changed out! Cracks in the wall! Worst stay ever!

Pros:

Great location in Haymarket, stroll to the Light Rail, lots of food options nearby. Check-in was a bit of a wait as the staff member was absent on other duties. Car parking was easy and well priced. Room was a large studio apartment, very comfortable. Good lift access. Car parking was reasonably priced although it was not accessible when I arrived as there was nobody on reception and I had to initially use the World Square Carpark and shuffle the car later, if again ‘phone ahead’ to ensure access on arrival. Otherwise a ‘top spot’ to stay.

Cons:

Bed was a little firm for me. Street cleaning noise in the early hours, but that’s CBD hazards … I doubt that the hotel can control that. A small milk carton would have been handy rather than the few tiny pods.
