Pros:

Initially said they could not guarantee a double/King bed or a front facing room. Ended up providing a corner, "Suite-like" room with awesome view, and the King bed. Most beautiful room of entire 45 day vacation.

Cons:

Spa pool not heated, needed to be in May, but was not a huge disappointment.

Impressive looking hotel, good staff/service, but interior was a bit tired.
Pros:

Service/staff were excellent and food was reasonable. Room was clean and bed was really comfortable. Aircon, very important in these temperatures, was great. Hotel was an impressive building.

Cons:

Hall carpets were badly soiled. Tea, coffee and milk supplied in room was minimal and we often found that we wanted another drink but it wasn't available until after the morning room cleaning.

Room fittings were a bit tired (towel holder and toilet roll holder coming away from wall).

Beautiful historic building. Amazing indoor spa facilities.

Cons:

The railings of for the towels was very dirty. After asking the cleaners they kindly solved this. At the pool, birds flew into it. If the pool is regularly cleaned this should not be an issue but there were feathers in there. For gluten free I would not recommend the breakfast. There was some, but it mostly was just one type of bread and toast, not 5 star.

Hotel storico davanti al mare, camera immensa con una vista meravigliosa. Servizi eccellenti. Letto molto comodo.

3-4 star experienced disguised as 5 star Hotel

Location, historic building

Cons:

The hotel has clearly had better times, looks dirty in the corridors, in our floor the rug was disgustingly stained. The staff particularly in the pool restaurants was of the most rude and unfriendly I have ever experienced. This is clearly not a 5 star Hotel
