I would not recommend staying at this hotel. We arrived expecting a clean, safe place to stay, but instead found mold throughout the property and a room that was dirty and clearly not maintained. The condition of the hotel was unacceptable.
We were only in the room for about 30 minutes before contacting the front desk because we could not stay there. We were traveling with three children, and there was no way I was going to expose my family to those conditions. We immediately left and had to drive around Panama City Beach looking for another hotel at the last minute.
What was most disappointing was the staff's response. When we reported the condition of the room, the front desk didn't even come inspect it. It seemed as though they already knew about the issues and simply didn't care.
To make matters worse, after explaining why we left and requesting a refund, the hotel responded that they would still charge us for the first night's stay because of their cancellation policy. This was not a cancellation because we changed our minds—it was because the room was not clean, sanitary, or fit to stay in. We never spent the night, never used the room, and left almost immediately after discovering the conditions.
Mold is a serious health concern, especially for children. No family should have to choose between risking their health or losing their money. I am extremely disappointed by both the condition of this hotel and the way management handled the situation. I hope this review helps other travelers avoid the same experience.

We enjoyed being together in 1 space and having the beach so close. Staff was friendly.

Disappointing
Pros:

It is on the beach. Bottom floor can open their door and be on the beach walking in 30 seconds.

Cons:

The rooms are dated and need basic repairs. The pictures do not accurately represent what you get when you get there. The porch has a steady drip of water trickling from air conditioner units above that feels like chinese water torture. The entire kitchen counter space is approximately 3 feet including the sink area which takes up about a foot. The pool was gross. Guy came and cleaned but didn't clean anything outside of vacuumed the bottom of the pool leaving trash all along the sides and even edges of the pool. When I say trash I mean fake eyelashes and dake finger nails pooped off laying around the steps to the pool and seating area smelled like urine. Drink bottles, wadded up wet paper towels and wrappers. Disappointing place to vacation.

The proximity to the beach, the view and the location was amazing! This is about the 6th time staying here before and since hurricane Opal destroyed the original.

Cons:

Cleanliness was subpar... I know with SAND it's nearly impossible to keep it out but the hallways, and the elevator was always full of sand, wet and garbage was dropped around. Totally a guest issue but someone surveying the area more often would help. The seaweed was piling up on the beach and it was stinky.

It was a great stay fir us and the kids

It had stuff for the grandkids to do and the pool was clean and they loved that ..their was bacteria in beach water so they played in pool and the small park at motel
