Zee was extremely friendly and accommodating! She had a sunshine personality which started my day off great! She’s a keeper! Keep up the great work ☀️❤️
The beds were comfortable
I stay at this hotel every 2-3 months with our son who is on a clinical drug trial at VCU Health. Great hotel, close to airport and VCU Health. A highlight is breakfast where Chandra always takes great care of us, talks to Jack and adds a wonderful personal touch to a long day and half of travel and time at the children’s hospital.
The server Liz was amazing and nice and the host Chandea was so sweet. 100 percent the reason we would come back.
Zee in the Cafe/Starbucks was amazing, and the entire front desk team provided excellent customer service despite the air conditioning breakdown.
My main reason to write this review is to express the lack of cleanliness in the room. To put it point blank on the surface you may think you walked into a decent room. I walked into a suite that clearly had not been deep cleaned in some time. Both pull out couches had stains on the cushions and the mattresses. I understand me getting a pet friendly room that I may encounter some of these things but for someone who has stayed in many pet friendly rooms from lower tiered hotels I expected the Hilton to at least vacuum under the couches and deep clean what more than likely was "pet stains" on the couch cushions. One of the cushions looked like it had a blood stain on it. I pulled the couch up so I can plug in a fan for my son and nothing but trash was between the seats and the floor.
Again I have stayed in many suites including the Hilton and for all the space provided in the room the is very minimal furniture, only 1 sink in the room which is located in the bathroom, the microwave is by the elevator and when you flushed the toilet the water sprayed up to the floor. This was room 425 so if anyone from the Hilton sees this there is a lot to be done.
I chose this hotel because it wasn't too far from the Richmond Raceway which was a decent $15 Lyft ride so no compaints there and there was a pool/hot tub. My kids wanted to use the pool so I was happy with the hot tub option for my bad back.... Guess what the Hot Tub was the same temp as the pool. COLD. Now I'm just on the side playing on my phone while my kids enjoy some pool time.
The reason Im not giving it 1 star is because the staff are delightful. My wife and I went to the bar to ease the stress of everything wrong with this place and enjoyed the conversation with the staff. They were as helpful as they could be at the momnet but getting a different suite the weekend of the 2026 Cook Out 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Richmond Raceway was pretty impossible at this point. For the price I paid to stay in a Hilton Suite I might as well found a local motel and saved the money.
Came here during race weekend. The improvements are cheep and falling apart. The amenities are not open or not working. It’s a bandaid on a massive cut. Won’t take too long to fix the problems but it need new management.
Service
Na
See made the morning coffee extra special! Much appreciated her service!
Elizabeth was the best server I had ever experienced!!!
Jamie was wonderful and extremely helpful as this was our first time visiting.
The hotel was nice, and the lounge was very chill. S/o Jamie.
Our stay started out rough because our King bed room was swapped to a dual queen bed room. The next day we were comped a night with vouchers so all is well. The stars were Imani and Zee from the dining experience. They're service and kindness made our stay so enjoyable that we would mind coming back just to see them. The food at the bar, although slow, was exceptional as well. The fish tacos and filet mignon sliders we're delicious. We would recommend.
Wonderful Stay with Exceptional Service! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We had a wonderful stay at this Hilton in Richmond. The hotel is spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. From arrival, we felt warmly welcomed, and service was consistently professional and friendly: from valet to front desk to the breakfast team.
A special mention to the outstanding concierge, Mr. Benjamin, who is highly professional, proud of his city, and extremely knowledgeable about Richmond. His recommendations greatly enhanced our visit, and it was a pleasure meeting someone so passionate about helping guests explore the city. 💕
Many thanks as well to Ms Tiara and Ms Zee, who made our mornings extra special. Their kindness, care, and exceptional service truly stood out and made us feel right at home.
If you’re visiting Richmond, we highly recommend this Hilton ! and don’t miss breakfast! You may have the pleasure of meeting Tiara and Zee, who will brighten your day.
Thank you 😊
We had a few little issues. An encounter with an untrained associate at check in left us wondering who the heck he was and why they left him to speak to customers.
The AC in our room didn't work and we were moved to another. Easy fix.
The next room was comfortable but there were mens crumpled shorts and underwear in a drawer.
No bag in our ice bucket.
The kicker was when the trash liner broke to discover what looked like vomit on the inside walls of the trashcan.
Not what we come to expect from the Hilton family if hotels.
PLEASE NOTE: the staff we encountered, aside from the one guy was absolutely wonderful.
This past weekend I attended my family reunion at the Hilton in Downtown Richmond. I was surprised to see my former co-worker, Benjamin Ross, as the Concierge. Even in his former job Ben always had a way of making our visitors feel welcome, he did the same for me and my family. He effortlessly coordinated dropping off and picking up some members as he took the rest of us to a museum. He was prompt in picking us up from the museum. During each trip Ben was great in sharing with us interesting facts about Richmond. Another cousin shared how Ben also gave them a great tour of Richmond. He was also helpful in sharing with us places of interest near the hotel. By the way, I am not making my comments just because Ben was a former co-worker. Being helpful is who Ben is and always will be. I also found all the staff I dealt with at the front desk and other areas to be very pleasant and helpful.
Very clean and comfortable.
The AC in our room was insanely noisy!
