Pros:

Location is as good as it gets for Downtown.

Cons:

The bar is understaffed. We waited for ten minutes to even sit and just gave up and left. Not their fault - there’s just not enough people.

Wonderful Experience
Pros:

Hyatt Olive 8 exceeded my expectations. The bar/restaurant was lively and served quality food and drinks. Breakfast was delightful! The hotel and room was very clean. It was perfectly located near all Seattle has to offer. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Expensive and no freebies
Pros:

No complimentary breakfast and outdated room. I felt they should give something! I spent $400 for a room and no free breakfast

It's 50/50 for me.
Pros:

The Hyatt Olive 8 has a few really strong points: it's quiet, rooms are a decent size, bed are comfortable, and the pool area is very nice. Their text feature for reaching the front desk is great and service was fast. The kids loved the pool area and the spa bathrooms. It also has a few issues - while the rooms were cleanish, they weren't spotless. There was a feather on the floor as we came in and the shower curtain looked clean but smelled. The hallways were definitely not vacuumed the entire time we visited. We followed the path of an empty candy wrapper the entire 5 day stay, as it floated from the table outside the elevators to places in the hallway. Yuck. The thermostat in the room was ridiculous - it was either too cold or too hot, and you never got it quite the temperature you wanted it. I probably would try another location next time.

Perfect Hotel for Seattle and Cruise Travel
Pros:

I stayed here before and after my Alaska cruise, and I couldn’t have picked a better hotel. Everything was spotless, the restaurant was delicious, and the staff went above and beyond. I’ll absolutely recommend it and would happily stay again when I’m back in Seattle.

Seattle-Hyatt at Olive
Pros:

My first trip to Seattle was amazing and the Hyatt was a huge reason for it. My room was incredible and spacious. It was very close to a lot of main attractions and because of the nice weather, we were able to walk to a lot of them. The bagel shop and restaurant attached was really delicious. The lobby had nice seating and had a refillable water station. Staff were always polite and extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Seattle.

Het hotel had een heel fijn zwembad, met hottub, sauna en stoomkamer.

Ook leuk dat je een klein bedrag mocht besteden elke dag in het restaurant.

Cons:

Geen ontbijtbuffet. Wel lekkere bagels te verkrijgen in de bagelshop.

Expected Good. Received Great. Very Happy.
Pros:

Our family of four (two small kids) were in town visiting family and seeing the city. We booked the Hyatt at Olive 8 because it was walkable to Pike's Place and it had a pool. It's not a budget hotel so we expected it to be pretty good, but they exceeded our expectation all around: cleanliness, features, materials, functionality, etc. The best part was the customer service. From the valets to the front desk staff to random staffers around the hotel, everyone was helpful, friendly, and seemed to care. We will look here first when we're ready for another visit.
