The Sands Inn & Suites checked all of the boxes and exceeded expectations for a hotel in SLO.
Pros:

Great location, easy to find, and reasonably priced. The room was clean and ready on time. Breakfast was easily accessible and had great hours. Staff were very friendly!

Cons:

It would be nice to have extended pool hours, as the pool closes at 10pm; an extra hour would be great.

Pros:

Property was well maintained. Staff was helpful, allowing us to drop off our luggage before check-in. Received texts asking if anything else was needed. Breakfast was excellent and had something for everyone. Location was convenient, and parking was easy. The bathroom was small, but the shower was cute and the extra mirror and counter space outside of the bathroom helped. Would stay again.

Buena ubicación y muy bien desayuno, variado y rico. La cama era amplia y cómoda. Estaba muy limpio.

Cons:

El mueble de baño estaba muy deteriorado, también el parqueo estaba muy lleno.

Don't recommend, lots of better options in town with similar prices.
Pros:

Couldn't reschedule or get a refund for a reservation that was booked very far in advance. They kept giving the reasoning that I had to figure it out with booking.com but that didn't make sense and they could have helped me more but chose not to. Won't ever try to book here again.

这个酒店挺让我惊喜的，很大，有早餐，有炒蛋和肉肠。房间够用的，我们是一家五口，里面的卧室很大，床非常舒服。客厅的沙发床也很大，被褥就在沙发里面。前台服务员很友善，我麻烦了他三次，每次都是微笑接待

Should have opted for La Quinta.
Pros:

The location was nice. Close to the freeway.

Cons:

The floors were sticky, front door was hard to open/close. A few things in the bathroom were falling apart. Lots of water because the shower curtain wasn’t long enough. Apparently there was dog hair on one of the beds and my husband couldn’t sleep due to the allergies.

Location, pool looked nice but we didn’t go in.

Cons:

No hand soap or body soap, had to ask; pillows were very bad; bath tub was peeling and in disrepair, hot water took almost 5 minutes to come (we thought we would take cold showers), when you flushed the toilet sometimes the water splashed out and onto my foot and the floor. The breakfast was the lowest quality I have ever seen at a hotel, the very cheapest low quality options, I had to ask to have the person open the door to the patio for breakfast. No housekeeping at all for 3 nights. I hung the door tag for service but it blew off. Staff were nice when you asked.

Family vacation
Pros:

I liked the size of the room, the pool view. The TV channel selection, AC worked well staff was attentive and they had a waffle maker

Cons:

Lack of trash cans there was one trash can for the kitchenette, bathroom and two rooms, minor wear and tear that could have been easily repaired. Deposit for pots and pans should have been advertised before booking

Excellent Hotel with a Great Complimentary Breakfast
Pros:

Our room was exceptionally spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The bed provided a great night's sleep, and there were plenty of dressers and storage space to keep all of our belongings organized. The large vanity counter and oversized mirror made it easy for two people to get ready at the same time without having to share the bathroom.

The complimentary breakfast exceeded our expectations. They offered both regular and decaf coffee, three different cereals, pastries, eggs and sausage, bagels with cream cheese, toast, yogurt, and oatmeal packets. The only minor issue we noticed was that there was just one waffle maker, so guests occasionally had to wait for their turn. Aside from that, everything about our stay was excellent.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely choose this hotel again whenever we're in San Luis Obispo.
