EVERYONE, ASK FOR YOUR REFUND!!
Pros:

EVERYONE, ASK FOR YOUR REFUND!! We booked the w hotel for spring break because of their pool, and was told on the spot that they closed it, without any prior communication about this. The manager refused to book us at a different Marriott hotel or even give us breakfast vouchers. With a surly attitude , the manager just gave us a final offer of $100 refund in total, take it or leave it.

Later when we talk to other guests at the hotel, they were equally upset about the false advertising but did not even get a refund simply because they did not ask for it.

So don't let Marriott (a 30 billion dollar worth hotel chain) sweep it under the rug and get away with it. Call them for a refund, if you recently stayed there and experienced the same issue; ask them to lower the price, if you are planning to book here; share your experience and their response here and on google map if you have negotiated with them. Organize = power.

Construction creates a terrible experience.
Pros:

They are doing construction but didn't bother telling me. The pipes were sending up gross dirt into the sink. The hotel restaurant and bar is more like a coffee shop. And the Internet went out.

Pros:

It was right in the middle of everything we were set to do when we got there. The staff was amazing at letting a 3rd party come set the room up for my gf as a surprise. They were super sweet and friendly.

Cons:

The only downside was they were doing renovations so we didn’t get to use the wet bar lol 😂

Don’t come here unless you like being woken up by construction sounds

The renovated room was nice

Cons:

Never was told about construction when booking so there was dust everywhere in the lobby areas. VERY loud construction noise starting at 7:30-8am every single day.

I wouldn’t have booked if I knew construction was happening

Cons:

Construction noises waking me up everyday. Extremely loud. I was never informed of the construction when booking. Most common areas were closed and the ones that were open were covered in dust from construction.

The W Atlanta
Pros:

This hotel was in a oretty nice walkable area, clean hotel, great restaurant, nice atmosphere, clean and tidy roads with minimal road noise. Nice service and an amenities and a decent value. The reason why this is a 4 star property is because of the renovations going on and we also couldn’t enjoy the pool.

This trip was very disappointing.

Some of the amenities they advertised weren’t available like the rooftop pool wasn’t heated, room service never answered the phone when I was trying to order, the front desk never answered the phone when I was trying to notify them & the valet parking that I paid for never answered the phone whenever I was trying to receive my vehicle I had to physically walk down there & show them my ticket & wait outside until they go retrieve my vehicle & last but not least the property was under construction inside & outside of the hotel extremely loud with sawing, grinding, hammering & yelling while they were remodeling this hotel the entire visit that they never notified anyone on the site about & never acknowledged or apologized for the inconvenience our trip to relax. SMH!!!!
