A stunning property with easy access to York

Good location and spacious room.
Great location and very friendly staff. We paid the cheapest rate on a Sunday night, and in comparison to other central hotels it was a good price for the comfort.
The room was in need of a little updating. It was quite noisy from the road, and the facilities weren’t perfect - the TV didn’t work that well, the windows wouldn’t stay open and the bathroom wasn’t the cleanest we’ve experienced. For the price we paid it was absolutely a good option, but we will probably look for somewhere else when we visit York again.

We loved the charm and character of the hotel, beautifully decorated room, enormous bathroom and location.
Lovely old hotel. It is a very old building so lots of creaking during the night
The reception staff could be better. When we first arrived. The girl was lovely. I paid for our stay including the parking. Our room was not ready so we went out . On returning I checked back in . They lady there was not at nice. Insisting I check in again filling out the same forms I had already completed. Charging me again for parking . When we checked out the young man . Sorted it out and I await the refund. The 2nd lady told us nothing about the hotel she even told us the wrong time for breakfast. Luckily all other staff were lovely . Perhaps she new.
