Receptionist on duty was exceptional. When he found out our predicament he went over and beyond accommodating us in the best way which we did not expect but were extremely grateful for. He deserves commendation as he is an asset to your name.
Not a thing.
The hotel’s location is excellent. The rooms are spacious and clean. It’s a wonderful hotel, and I would definitely recommend it.
The hotel is lovely, amazing decor and as good as I remember compared to previous stays at other hotels in the chain. I like that the hotel had some transparency about the history of the building.
The room had cobwebs, the kettle and the cups were very dirty and had not been cleaned. I boiled water in the kettle, having removed it from the wardrobe, I used the boiled water the sterilise the cups and noticed that the spoons were disgusting and had not been cleaned in some time. I was glad I did so, as I nearly used these to make tea.
The panel above the entrance to the room was loose and needed repositioning. The staff member when I arrived tried to make me doubt that parking right outside the hotel was not free and that I could use their car park for an extra 20 quid. In York it seems that the parking charges are not included in the price of the hotel room, what a rip off!
Room was comfortable
Price of breakfast and drinks
Beautiful bedroom friendly staff.gteat location.
Wonderful breakfast 😋
Our bedroom, Pol Roger, was beautiful when we noticed the balcony I was thrilled.
Unfortunately, the Decking was disgusting, and two plant pots were covered in dying plants, plus a window was covered in green fungus.
It would have been lovely to have sat outside with a glass of wine 🍷
It wouldn't have been a pleasant experience .
I don't understand how no manager had noticed how dirty the balcony is
Good nights sleep, decent breakfast, staff were pleasant & accommodating. Good location.
Comfort, character, location, value for money
Nothing
Location was very good. Nice room
That you had to go up stairs to get to the bathroom. Very poor light in there too!
The decor and look of the place was absolutely beautiful and really cozy and intimate
The only think is maybe the parking could be free for guests
Beautiful rooms and hotel.
The room was fine, and clean
The bed was comfortable.
Breakfast was extra, but extensive
My only question is why have the air conditioning set to 19 in the room, which was freezing on a boiling day, or was it to address the fact that the duvet, was (much) too warm for a summer duvet? We turned down the air conditioning, and addressed the Winter duvet without an issue.
Close to the City centre
Balcony was dirty and unkempt. Could not open the door to it as the extractor fans from the kitchens were right next to it.
